I would have been upset about that, but as the "upgrade" would have been exit row aisle -> C+ middle, the result was acceptable.

4/29: DL2620 (RDU-MCO)(717) Was 1 for 11 at gate with 1 seat and was upgraded. This is my first gate Upgrade in almost a year. Typically if I don’t clear at the window, I don’t clear at the gate and I typically expect to sit in Y so this was a pleasant surprise. Also, the FA paged me up to the gate and said please come with your BP and ID for your upgraded seat. I found that strange as most GAs just clear the list without paging anyone.

- I was surprised I cleared so easily for the SLC-MSP leg, but then barely made it for the MSP-TYS leg. On the trip out on Tuesday, I didn't even get C+ on MSP-SLC. The GA thanked the three people ahead of me on the MSP-TYS leg for being DM/PM so the flight must have had a surprisingly high number of elites for a Saturday flight.

As Gold flying out of Boston, I've been 0-10 so far this year. Finally made it though - upgraded at T-72 for my next flight. I guess it helps to take a 5:30am flight on a Saturday (BOS-DTW-MSY).

K fare purchased 2 May thru corporate portal (Concur); cleared at T-120 window
interestingly enough, I initially looked at SEA-SNA ... Concur came back with an E fare ... uh, no thanks; I know there are no bad seats in Y on an E75, but no upgrade possibility and no SDC are absolute deal-breakers
After-Action Report: had to SDC this to DL1590 (0610 departure)... got to the gate at T-75 as 2 of 9 for 2 seats, spoke with the GA at T-61 to let her know I would prefer 1D to 4B, and she handed me that BP at T-60

FO, Corporate U fare. Changed flights to due IROPs
SFO - ATL U fare 753. C+ cleared at gate as 1/1 (empty flight with most middle seats in C+ going out empty)
ATL - RDU U fare md88. C+ cleared at gate 3/3. GA weirdly cleared all standby before boarding but didn't clear F/C+ until I prompted him when he called for SKY and there were 3 on list (I was #3 ) with 14 empty C+ seats. Ended up with row to myself.
Way down the list on F for both. FCM was the pure $950+ upfare.

SDF-ATL-SLC-RNO yesterday. Didn't pay attention to the first two legs as I was middle of the pack for lists that were 40+ long. Cleared into F on SLC-RNO at T-24. 7/34 on upgrade eligible segments this year as a GM.
