Was in there this AM, the new bathrooms are open and indeed nice.

was my first time in since renovations began. Was expecting something spartan based on the FlyerTalk hyperbole....but it was actually quite comfortable,
clearly a work in progress but with comfortable seats and nice DC/Tarmac views it was a nice place to be pre-flight.

*this was 7:30-9am, I'm sure it can get crowded later in the day

The new restrooms are now open. They are at the far end of the hallway at the back of the club formerly blocked off by an emergency alarm door. The men's room is about 3x the size of what they had before. Good job, Delta.

Damn I missed them. Assumed they were closed and waited to go on the gate levels.

Suprisingly uncrowded from 12:30-2:00 today, I really hate the chairs with the armrests that are pointy on the top where your arm would sit if it wasn’t pointy and painful.

The club was not so crowded today between 1:00PM and 2:00 PM. New restrooms are indeed nice. I also noticed a very wood decoration in the entrance hallway that wasn't there a few weeks ago. They had it covered but you could still see through the plastic what has been installed there.

Asked the club ambassadors and they said it should be done in 3 weeks now.

Restrooms are nice but way down that hall. Wonder if any of that space will be used beyond the new buffet area that you can see through the plastic. Looks nice like the ones in BOS. Otherwise not much visibly new in two weeks.

Anyone know if the club is still closed on weekends? I'm guessing yes until the work is finished.

It's open. There rn. They claim that everything will be wrapped up in two weeks.

Thanks. DL’s twitter confirmed as well. They are closed tomorrow (Sunday)
I was in there this morning and it’s looking close. The new bar is behind a drape, but looks good. The food buffet looks done as well.

Everything looks great, and they’ve greatly increased seating capacity by turning the protocol room into RRs.

The size of the buffett makes me think that they’ll have hot dishes, especially since they’re also redoing the kitchen. DCA has the potential to be one of the best SCs.

I fly into DCA next Saturday and out Sunday. From the above, can I expect the club to be open on Saturday when I arrive??...and closed Sunday when I depart at 7:20 PM??

Thanks!

I was in the DCA club yesterday and they have things sorted out reasonably given the construction.

ND76 Jun 17, 2018 7:34 pm

I was at DCA this afternoon (Sunday 6/17), although not leaving or arriving on a flight, so I looked up at the club from outside security. It appears that they have installed new light fixtures; there were a few modern "chandeliers" (metal balls adorned with little lights) each secured to the ceiling by a metal rod located near the windows overlooking the landside concourse. The club looked open, as all the lights were on and I saw an employee standing behind the "temporary" bar.

SkyClub staff told me yesterday (Saturday) they would be closed today (Sunday).

As far as next weekend, I'd message DL's Twitter team. My guess is one more weekend and they may be done.

I was in the club yesterday afternoon (Sunday 6/17) from about 5pm-6:15pm or so - it was indeed open (or at least in the afternoon). Bar and buffet area were still hidden behind drapes and temporary bar/food service setup were in use. Maybe they open it on Sundays for the afternoon rush? It was pretty crowded but not unexpected for a Sunday afternoon.

Here right now. There is now a purple banquette that I assume is going to have tables with it facing the metal room divider that some hate. I sort of like it.

The bar area is looking cool, and mostly done. The food area looks ready to go. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...b76d2b219.jpeg

I’m bored in the thunderstorm delays. Bar apparently opens on Friday. Looking pretty cool.
