https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...29a5285bf2.jpg Delta's Sky Clubs have been overcrowded for years. Many of the lounges simply aren't big enough. They really need separate lounges for international business-class passengers. You're better off hanging out in the terminal concourse. At least there you can eat in a civilized manner at a restaurant. |

This is what it is all too often like in Detroit at the main Sky Club. Unfortunately, many lounge-goers either are unaware of the secondary Sky Club locations or they prefer the main one. It's very frustrating for those who have paid for a 5-figure international business-class ticket and can't find a seat single.

They should block off a few tables at DCA for D1 customers, like Amex does at Centurion lounges for black card holders. As much as it sucks, getting rid of all-airline access for membership holders will be essential once National Hall is moved airside. |

DCA gets bad due to the high concentration of HVCs, and the limited terminal space. The real issue at that club is probably Amex Plat swipes, but DL can't start excepting certain clubs from that program (even though I wish they would at DCA). This is especially relevant now that DL offers D1 service from DCA.

I get that Delta makes a lot of money from its relationship with American Express, but American Express has its own competing lounges now. Plus, American Express won't allow Delta-branded American Express cardholders into its lounges. |

Delta should treat American Express platinum cardholders the same as many lounges in high traffic airports treat Priority Pass cardholders: limit access during certain hours of the day.

I think there's enough space in National Hall to put one somewhere, especially if Amex wants them to build a space during the construction. |

I prefer the Boardrooms over the Skyclub just because they aren't as crowded and last time I flew out of SEA they were limiting admission at the boardroom to Boardroom members and Alaska first class flyers. Same with the one lounge at LIM last time I flew out of there, the club was packed and they weren't allowing priority pass swipes. The priority pass lounges will probably be even worse now that the new Hilton Am Ex gives unlimited PP Visits. |

I don't think the 16 D1 passengers per day are make-or-break when it comes to crowding at DCA.

"Want to get away from the gate? It's the perfect place to relax and unwind."
"We strive to give you all the comforts of home while you’re away. Think of it as a personal retreat." "Looking for a retreat where you can work or relax before your flight?" "Sometimes it’s the little touches that make you feel at home, like healthy selections that hits the spot or your favorite cocktail at THE BAR at Delta Sky Club® after a long day. At Delta Sky Club, we understand this and strive to give you all the comforts of home while you’re away. Think of it as a personal retreat — your home away from home." "A better Club experience is landing in DCA. When the renovation is finished you will be able to stretch out with expanded seating, drink and dine in a new food and beverage area, enjoy scenic views of the runway and Potomac and enter through a new check-in area. Look forward to these exciting improvements in 2018." |

I'm hoping that a Centurion lounge comes to DCA once the changes are complete. It would be an ideal candidate IMO.

No, but those passengers shouldn't have to fight for seats.

I’m here right now. Not that crowded.
Now you enter to the left of the desks and walk down the long hall past the protocol office and enter the club by the bathrooms, which are now open. Club manager said bar, kitchen and most work will be done. by the end of April with just cosmetic fixes after that. |
