I was there too.
I guess I didn't think about this thread. I didn't notice anything that seemed "new" - - I don't remember seeing any of those red chairs! |

I was there last night from 6:30 PM until 7:45 PM. That time of night there's no one there (there were a grand total of four of us, most of us on the late DCA-RDU flight). I like that check in has been moved outside into the elevator lobby similar to how American does there's. The lounge isn't looking too good:

Was in a mostly-empty SkyClub this morning and the door to the auxiliary lounge was closed. Wonder if it was shut down when the checkin was moved outside into the lobby and chairs were put in its place.

re #80 : I was in DC SC on November 28; checkin was outside and the aux room was open.

I was in the DCA club yesterday morning.
1. Ambassadors (concierges) are now positioned outside the door to the club in the elevator lobby. There are three podiums. 2. The space formerly occupied by the check-in area is now a seating area with a hodgepodge of furniture. The "Y" in the SkyClub sign is comically missing. 3. The portion of the Protocol Office that was made available to the SkyClub has once again been closed off. The corridor leading to it from the restroom area is still open and has chairs in it. |

I was also there yesterday. I left after 5 minutes because most of the seats had no electrical outlets. It was useless. I found a better place to sit and work in the terminal.

There are electrical outlets in the floor beneath or next to the chairs north of the bar. They have little metal "doors" on them that you have to flip open; you have to look for them.

Was in Friday night(last time of the year). The wall seen in the post 79 is now gone. They removed the walls that made some of those areas open so it is now one big room with chairs. It will be interesting to see what the final club looks like. I forgot if it is mentioned upthread but there will be new restrooms(which are desperately needed)

Waiting for the flight to LAX on a Friday night. SkyClub in DCA is a fail. It's SRO. We had to wait 30 minutes just to get a seat. The back room that did have extra space is still closed, and a big chunk of space is also closed off for the renovation. We came early to relax here, and my family is giving me the evil eye for subjecting them to this miserable experience.

Just went up to SkyClub before my flight, it’s completely closed and will be fully closed the next 3 weekends. Grr. At least I got to go to Good Stuff Eatery.
