....You are correct....at least a week to accomplish the interior upgrade.....N501DN has now been at MSP for 2 weeks. Based on the same number of seats on the 4 group interior and the 3 group interior, no rows are being removed, just the C+ rows have a smidge more room between the seat row in front of you. So that being said, the "main" cabin looses a "smidge" room between the seat row in from of it. Smidge here, smidge there, smidge everywhere.....let's see if the conversion takes over a month for each frame.

New post.........
N501DN appears to be departing MSP on Monday (Feb 1st) and being scheduled for the ATL-ICN leg on the same day. N502DN might not be the next for the upgrade at MSP as N503DN is heading to MSP on Sunday (Jan 31st) from an AMS-ATL leg on the same day. Hopefully the 2nd ship for the upgrade will happen a bit faster. N501DN was at MSP for 21 days.

When an interior conversion is done on a type of aircraft, the first one to be converted usually takes longer than the others, sometimes much longer. I have no inside info, but it wouldn't surprise me if 3501 took a month and then the others took a week each.

Anyone had a chance to fly on one of these reconfigured birds? Would love to read some feedback on Comfort+ seating. i.e. how is the leg room in the bulkhead row?

DL's annual report (p. 26) shows future orders of A350-900s. There are none coming this year, 2 next year, none in 2023, and then 18 in 2024 and later for a total of 20 more. I've updated the wiki with this information.

3510 has arrived at MSP to enter C+ mods; 3503 has completed C+ mods and is scheduled to leave later today.

EDIT: It looks like they're running two C+ installation lines at MSP as 3509 exited C+ mods yesterday and 3502 is entering tomorrow.

Also, per a post at a.net, 3507 and 3508 had C+ installed in January.

3504 didn't actually fly back to DTW. 3502 did fly to DTW as DL9965; however, for some reason FlightAware had both 3502 and 3504 flying as DL9965 MSP-DTW. But if you look at the FlightAware flight path for 3504, you'll see it never left MSP.

Thanks for the update...even FR24 had the same flight info, although it never showed that 3504 actually flew from MSP>DTW!

I'm not yet sure what plane is going to enter mods in its place.

3510 has exited MSP. As for which plane is following it in, all the 359s without C+ have flights scheduled for at least tomorrow and some on Monday, so it's possible they're dropping down to one C+ mod line at MSP. Of course it's also possible it's just a busy weekend and another plane will enter next week.

3504 (N504DN) has been at MSP for 8 days now - when it does finish and go back into service, only 5 frames are left to get the C+ interior mods: N505DN, N506DN, N511DN, N512DN, N513DZ....and all are busy flying routes through this Thursday. The A359 schedules stay at 8 routes until the end of March: ATL-CDG and ATL-AMS will be dropped and 333's will be substituted - which brings the routes down to 5: ATL-HND, ATL-ICN, DTW-HND, DTW-ICN, and LAX-SYD. ATL-JNB is added 01-Jun. There are 3 more being added 01-Jul (according to current DL schedules): MSP-HND, DTW-PVG, LAX-PVG....These 3 could be delayed again, in addition to also "NOT DAILY".

I am showing 3514 is in MSP right now. I am not showing any heavy mtc on it but it also has no flights for the next 14 days on the board. Not sure if they will at flights or add work but I am guessing it is taking up the spot for the C+ mod for what ever it is down for. I also dont show any other 350s in MSP for the next 14 days besides 3514 & 3504. All subject to change as usual.
Also the 350 is being used for the DTW-BRU cargo flight to add to the list

From another thread from FT, N514DN and N515DN (the last 2 that were delivered to DL ( and the only 2 that were delivered to DL in 2020), were delivered with the C+ mods all ready in place. So, that being said, I'm not certain as to why N514DN is in MSP on an extended stay.
