I've had some nice salmon dishes in restaurants that were salmon with a light bodied red wine sauce.

True, but atleast this time it was at least flavorful ..Unlike the chicken dish they always serve with it.

Outdated rules. Salmon that is highly seasoned could pair well with a lighter or even medium bodied red, especially if served with heartier sides. The white wine & seafood rule applies more to shellfish IMO.

I suppose I should have added and 'LOL' to indicate sarcasm, rather than an 'eek'. Still, that salmon doesn't look 'highly seasoned' nor the sides particularly 'heartier' to me. More to the point though, I c/would have eaten on the ground knowing this dish was the option which would be the case were pre-select available. :p

Or a 'spritzer' and that is an  To be fair, AA puts Dr Pepper on ice in a bucket in their Flagship Lounges. I have yet to see that one onboard a DL jet or in a SC.

I've had Italian reds at tastings that were slightly effervescent.

Also, there's sparkling burgundy if it's still being made, IIRC in upstate NY.

Please understand that I'm not recommending this stuff.

I tend to agree though I did have a great fish curry in J on SQ a couple months ago.
