Will Delta Charge us extra now?

When you make a purchase with your credit card, your bank charges the merchant an interchange fee for the transaction. But last week, retailers were given permission to pass this surcharge on to the customer.

And if YES, will it be counted for MQD? :D

May be Delta should consider Grandfathering current Million Milers to be EXCLUDED from new MQD requirement.

It strikes me as insincere that Delta claims to be taking steps toward a more exclusive Medallian experience while continuing to toss around the lower tier benefits like parade confetti.

Note the word "seamless" in the article. When used in connection with DL, it becomes pejorative, like "enhancement."

I went ahead and booked my first DL flights of the year this week. FAY-ATL-DAB for a whopping $143. if I bought 15 more of these I'd requalify for Silver Medallion and just barely meet the spend threshold (assuming this was 2013). Maybe I'll stick around, I think I'll see how DL is this year.

The fact is that you got a very good deal. If you do it 15 more times this year you will wind up spending $2288 -- which is less than I am spending for a single M fare itinerary TLV-LAS-ATL-TLV.

My fare will cost me $2847 and, even with the 50% MQM bonus (because I bought it before March 1), would not be sufficient to earn me Silver without the rollover.

Future M fares for the same itinerary will probably cost me about the same and will earn 16,060 MQMs. In short, I will be putting on less miles than you, paying considerably more than you are, and still not come even close to being an FO.

Man, it's gone quiet in here.
Bubba where are you? What happened with the Tupolev thingy.

March 1 is approaching, are people buying up M fares to lock in 150% MQM??

I don't see that happening. This is all about encouraging spending now. The poster who is encouraged to fly to MAN in F is a good example of what DL wants!

BTW the MM program is good example of a broken program. No possibility for DM and 1MM only gives you FO

Yeah speaking of that, where's mbwmbw? I imagine he's upset he can't rack up lifetime DM with rollover.

You would fall short of the spending threshold. 16 x $143 = $2288. FO threshold is $2500. And taxes don't count towards MQD, so you'd have to figure out what part of that $143 actually counts towards the MQD.

Just get closer to MPM and you'll be fine.
(TLV-NYC-LAX-LAS would help, as well as using AF on the return to fly ATL-NYC-YMQ-AMS-PAR-TLV on an equivalent fare-fare rules allow this)

He says he spends enough on his AMEX if you searched.

If I was allowed to fly TATL in F then I would take LH/LX/SQ, not DL.
(I would fly AA Y on the domestic part on another ticket and would train within Europe)
