If you really want to fly JFK-IST nonstop, Turkish Airlines is matching DL statuses. GM and higher matches to TK Elite, which is Star Alliance Gold.

Indeed. I just flew the AZ 777 from FCO to JFK in J. I would say it is probably the BEST J experience out there right now aside from CX/SQ. Light years above AF/KL/DL. Fantastic seats, great food - served in real courses. Service was top-notch.
The lounge in FCO was a dump but that isnt a big part of the experience for me. By all means, give AZ a try. |

Actually, I think that AZ is well beyond "some" for their flat bed modifications. It appears that they've got them all done now or maybe there's still one ghetto AP A330 out there, but it will be gone soon. Even the 777s have been updated now!

I am on DL72 JFK-IST on Nov 20 and the return DL73 on Nov 25.
Currently, @DeltaAssist says the flight is still operational, but there is no availability. I have my alternative preferences ready to go though. |

The DL seat map application will not display the seat map for DL 72 on 11/20. It has nothing to do with being sold out. It further indicates the flight is going to disappear.

I just booked 72/73 a few days before they cancelled it. Anyone have a guess when we will be rebooked? I'd like to see what alternative routing they give me before I call.

I have an assigned seat in DL72 on 11/23, have had it for months, no changes. And can still pull up my seat map

I could still pull up my seat map as well after they dropped the flight, and could still see those seats until I was rerouted.

Crap, this will not make me happy. I would probably cancel my trip? Just looked at buying a new ticket, nothing non-stop coming up. :(

Long time listener, first time caller. Given the large decrease in the need for the 76/77 fleet due to European contraction and dropping HKG - what happens to theselanes? Are they parked or redeployed domestically? There is only so much maintenance to do...

Well this stinks. I'm booked on JFK-IST-JFK on Nov 21-25. The return options on the 25th are terrible with everything leaving early morning.

Was on the same itin. Plus now you get in hours later on arrival. It basically gives you Thursday evening, Friday and Satuday, with miminal sleep time on Saturday night (unless you take the 3pm or so AF flight on Sunday, getting into JFK around 9pm).

TK is indeed available, and yesterday was selling for a bit under $700.
