Yep, thats what they did on my one and only Porsche pickup was at SEA back on Feb, was on a MR that had me flying (stage) SMF>SEA>PDX, then on the PDX > SEA leg (with a 4+ hour layover) waiting to go LAX then GUA I was shocked to get picked up coming back thru SEA that morning. Didn't get a pix, but they were super friendly and she said she saw "I had a long day ahead of me, going to GUA" I then told her that not only that, i was turning around 1 hour after landing and the the whole trip from PDX>SEA>LAX-GUA>LAX>PDX cost 163 buck and I was upgraded on all legs 5 to 2 days before I left (both ways) I told her I certainly appreciated it and her work and colleges.

My first of two transfers was from DL to VA but it was ticketed by DL (Skymiles Award Ticket). Not sure if DL would be tracking your progress and need for a transfer if you're ticketed through VA. But you can receive a DL to VA Porsche transfer (and hey if your connection is running tight, you could always try reaching out directly to DL via Twitter to see if they can hook you up, even if VA isn't able to arrange anything).

well we were supposed to pull into E and my connection was in B, but then we ended up parking in B about three gates down from my connection. No porsche. I got viper'd off of my flight and moved to the next one, but I made it to the gate in time to get added to standby and re-cleared standby into an exit row seat.

A great Delta day all around. The morning JFK - SAN nonstop was sold out weeks in advance, so I booked JFK-LAX-SAN (40 minute layover). Cleared into D1 without using a RUC based on the new upgrade policy (it was tight - at boarding, I was #8 for 9 seats). Then in LAX, got the Porsche transfer form T3 to T2 after ATC landed us on the south side of LAX instead of north, cutting into my connection time.

Just got a very nice surprise-and-delight pickup in DTW off a lowly CRJ (C to A gates). Not a tight connection by any means, but I was lumped in with two other presumably higher-status pax. PM status, L fare.

My mother and I got the surprise trip in Seattle last week. When I saw my name on the iPad and was told I had been selected for the ride, they graciously agreed to bring her along. We were personally escorted to the Sky Club where my mother was allowed in without the expected $29 charge.

My incoming flight on a CRJ-900 to DTW was late and I was arriving at the far end of A and departing from the far end of B. 25 minutes. That was too tight. I messaged Delta via Twitter in-flight and asked about a Porsche pick-up. They said they would make a request. It didn't happen, but my incoming flight was moved from A to the four gates down from my departing flight in the B terminal. I presume it's because I asked.
I've only been picked up once. Also at DTW when flying IAD-DTW-CIU. It was about 35 minutes connecting. Similar situation -- arriving A, departing C.

MY TURN!!!!
I exit the aircraft with 16 minutes to connect C37 to B11...meaning 6 minutes before door closes...and [cue music] there is Kevin with a sign with my name on it!
I am whisked across the ramp, walked up to the gate entrance, and into B11 as the GA is announcing last call.
I was the King of Delta that day, I can tell you!

Arrived on a late flight SEA-MSP at gate G19 at 2:58 PM. I was near the front of F and heard my name being called as I exited the plane. I was taken down the outside steps to the Porsche and the driver said, "Let's make this connection!" She "sped" off to C17 and I made the 3:05 connection home.
