Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog

I think the CSR/CSP is a bit heavier, although TPG lists them as having roughly equal weight:

I noticed something new in the perks booklet. $550 (per card?) credit towards airline lounge club membership. This uses up the incidental credits first, but is additional to them -- so use up your $250 incidentals and THEN get an airline lounge membership for maximum profit. PP is nice, but they're far from everywhere.

Edit: OK i see it was mentioned before. Yep, $50k spend (this or previous calendar year) to receive this benefit. Agreed, spending that much on this card is probably not worth that. So it'll be another year of spending $400 to get $1k for the most part. Though last year, I did use the $100 discount through the discount air portal -- AND, have a claim for a flight delay for several hundred -- yes, other cards offer it too, but since I was already paying this card's yearly fee it made sense to use it for the travel benefits.

I just received the new card. It’s lighter than CSR. Slightly heavier than regular plastic cards, but not that much different

The $100 discount is good if you travel domestic with your friends/family. My wife have the Ritz CC since 2016 and I used that benefit a couple of times, that's one of the main reason I want to get this card, because you get the same discount like Ritz and the same incidental benefits as the Sapphire Preferred/Reserve, plush the 12 gogo passes which are good on international travel too (similar to Amex Plat Business) and you get 3% on many categories (not just one), too bad there are no transfer partners but hey, you can not have it all right?.

This right here is why it's not my daily card. If they did, I'd spend all my money on it instead of my Citi Prestige.

I like the new card, it's beautiful.

My daily 1x CC is the SPG, but for Gas/Groceries I use the Crystal, you still get 3x.

FWIW, a City National Bank branch opened last week near Dupont Circle in Washington DC. I'm sure they'll also accept applications from Maryland and Virginia residents.

Is that grandfathered in, or are new cardholders getting 3X on GG? TIA.

The terms on the website specifically say gas and groceries earn 3x.

Thank you DrForce. raccah, I'd read somewhere that the 3x categories had been phased out.

Does the priory select card get you 3 years on renewal? CSR just sent me a priority select for 3 years even though the first time was for one year only. So wanted to know if CNB follows the same policy on renewal.

For the fee credit, does one airline have to be chosen like Amex?
