Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

How would they know what you bought?

My purchases this year are SW award fees and Delta PGGM. The obvious issue with PGGM is that the flights are refunded. I wary of the risks of calling. But if we don't call, what can we do?

If you don't call on a Delta PGGM you might not get refunded but you definitely won't get refunded from a call since it's not within the guidelines of what the rep would refund for anyway. I'm really not sure what people think they will accomplish by calling unless it's for a legitimate refund.

Do we think that fees on an award ticket and/or taxes on a buddy pass would theoretically qualify?

Doesn't sound like it would according to their terms:

Statement credit is provided under the Airline Incidental Fees Statement Credit benefit and is limited to Qualifying Airline Purchases made at eligible U.S.-Domestic Airline Carriers. Qualifying Airline Purchases must be charged to a Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card to be eligible for a statement credit. Qualifying Airline Purchases are defined as incidental airline fee transactions made at eligible US Domestic Airline Carriers and include: seat upgrade charges, ticket change/cancellation fees, checked baggage fees, inflight entertainment, onboard food and beverage charges, airport lounge membership fees and day passes, onboard wireless charges (excluding Gogo Wireless), and TSA Pre✓® membership application fee. Qualifying Airline Purchases may vary by airline. Merchants are responsible for correctly identifying the transactions under the appropriate codes or identifiers on Visa's proprietary network.
You could argue that the award ticket fees/taxes should count but they aren't explicitly listed.
Honestly the best would be if someone could just charge a drink or food to the card and call up if the credit doesn't post. Small legitimate charge.

I have a lounge membership fee that posted 12/31 but hasn't credited. I'll call in and ask about it.

Use the benefit legitimately?

Calling to ask about a credit on a purchase that is not supposed to qualify, and that you also refunded is quite literally the worst possible thing you could do. Blows my mind that anyone could think this is even remotely a good idea.

I'm also curious about this; I may go by the NYC location Wednesday to ask if nobody else has been.

Just found out in the mail that we'll be losing CLEAR. Let's hope this isn't a sign of this card getting nerfed...

I've just received the note. It says that the benefit is being discontinued on Feb 15, 2016. "Eligible cardholders who have not previously taken advantage of this benefit .... may do so by enrolling at www.visa.clearme.com/cnb prior to the effective date."
