Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

Wrong, plenty of data proves that you will not get a credit after it posts. Cancel tonight!

Did you cancel the purchase or did AA chance the purchase.

It seems pretty clear AA cancelled his purchase. This seems to happen when people buy too many cards too quickly. If you spread out the purchases this shouldn't happen.

Absolutely nothing to do with CNB. Your DP is FUD.

Still waiting on my $350 reimbursement. Would rather fight them over the AF (at risk of $50 loss) than eat $350.

Actually you want this to happen. It is the best thing to happen with CNB. Used to happen with one of my AUs when trying to buy AA GCs.

Basically AA refunds you right away and CNB reimburses you anyway, so it is free cash instead of dumb AA GCs you have to find ways to spend. Too bad it doesn't happen for all AA GC transactions. Count your blessings that it happened to you. Take your $350 when it comes in later this month from CNB, cancel the card, and get out of dodge. No need to spend GCs. Much better.

I've had this happen to me several times where AA cancels the transaction, refunds, the money, but the credit still posts. I did a little digging and it's because AA has very strict fraud protections. If ALL aspects of your info don't match (to a unspecified degree) what CNB and/or Visa has on file, they 86 the transaction. For me, it turns out my "Banker" listed my phone number for ALL my AUs (despite my providing them the the correct info for each). So when I did the transaction on my AU cards and put in their phone number, the initial authorization processed, but then was canceled by AA a few days later when the phone numbers did not match up.

So, if you want to force this scenario, just put in an "slightly" incorrect phone number...

Since another week has passed and your charges are “legit”, have you gotten the credit?
If not, would you please call in, see what they say, and post the response.

Thanks.

It hasn't posted but I'm not going to call yet, my AF doesn't post until the end of February so I'm not in a rush.

I'm assuming they're not actually legitimate charges.

Anybody have experience with charging United Club membership using their CNB card and getting it reimbursed? I'm curious if United codes that correctly to be covered by the Airline Incidental Fees statement credit. The guide to benefits seems pretty clear it should be covered ("... airport lounge membership fees and day passes ...") but I'm curious if anybody has actually seen it come through and get reimbursed.
