Why isn't anyone drunk posting? :D

+1. I've been watching this thread and notice distinct lack thereof

The troubleshooting report for lack of drink posts

A would be drunk poster (not going to mention who) had problems
charging his bb ( I think it was user error :D ) so he had no battery to post.

My phone only had Internet a few times and then I would get error messages when trying to log into the mobile FT . I think I was able to post 2 or 3 times only.

another FTer lost his IPHONE prior to the trip and his current cheese phone is made of cheese and therefore does not have internet access.

One Iphone user had service on the 3:rolleyes: Network and
another user simply had a message "Searching for  "
( both have ATT Service)

and finally WIFI was not as widespread , so Otters with IPOD touches could not jump on a free wifi and drunk post.

ETA: I meant to type drunk in the title but that cannot be edited .

For those heading to Brugge, check out http://www.brugsbeertje.be/index_en.htm 't Brugs Beertje is a pleasant and attractive special beerhouse in the centre of Brugge. The Brugs Beertje is not just a pub, but a worthy tasting house where the real beerspirit is enjoyed by the local and foreign guests. The interior with all kinds of beer articles recalls souvenirs of former days. You can find about 300 different Belgian beers in the 't Brugs Beertje. Five of them are on draft.

Everyone have a great time.

Thanks PineyBob for the Brugs Beertje recommendation ^^

Five of us in Bruges - cova+1, sbm12, colpuck, Anglo Large Clawed Otter, what happened to sdm1130 and Hartmann ??

We checked out Bruges Beerjte at 3:30pm and the quiet street was empty. Sign said open at 4pm. Back at 4:23pm and the place was already crowded with locals. Great beers and wonderful selection of beers.

By 5:30pm when we left - the place was packed - including both back room areas.

Again thanks to PineyBob for a great recommendation.

Said would be drunk poster (and the rest of you) has/have seriously deprived interested observers from enjoying your trip vicariously.

+1 to wanting to hear a drunk post or two of the event, after all it is a beer induced DO.

Sorry...I was desperately trying to save battery life for important things, like using the Google maps to find my way home when I couldn't see straight, much less walk straight. I'm rather amazed that I made it back to my room last night.

Bruges was great today, too, and certainly helped work off the hangover that I was sporting.

I know I had a Dink Dark at the place today; I don't remember many of the others.

Three of us started with Bieken, which is likely the most popular draft. Best beer I have ever had. So I had to stick with it. Others were more adventureous and tried some other great beers. A few tried the passion fruit beer. No matter what - if we were not leaving in the am in the morning we would have stayed longer. To PineyBob ^

I'm trying to post a karaoke video, but the internet connection here is giving me problems. I'll keep trying.

Sorry we missed everyone in Bruges. It was difficult to wake up this morning so Hartmann and I decided to stay in Brussels and check out the city some more. Bruges will have to wait for a future trip...

sdm1130 Jan 18, 2009 2:18 pm

I finally got the karaoke video up on YouTube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qeklqFdiFI

I will allow the singers to identify themselves if they wish. Please note that this video is posted in good fun only - I will gladly take it down if someone in the video would like me to.

Enjoy! The guy dancing in front of them is classic... :D

Actually - the flyertalk group was the best singers in the bar all night.

sbm12 Jan 18, 2009 2:42 pm

I don't remember that guy dancing in front of us - he is definitely a piece of work. I don't think we were really that bad. :D
