Not to get too geeky but I find the minutiae of a huge operation like CO interesting.

Consider that every non-Chelsea catering station has to have many CO-specific items shipped to them for use on CO flights. Even though these probably come on CO flights, the system wide logistics of it must still be pretty complicated. The paper packets were probably a generic substitute for a CO specific item.

If you're really concerned about snacks in the PC, you might want to pick up some of the above on the way to the airport and sneak them into the club. I can't imagine that anyone would notice, much less "report you" to the front desk.

The food has been inconsistant on my flights as well. On a recent upgraded flight (with miles ,not eua) with my wife from Iah to ALB they forgot to cater the plane and the Pilot departed with no food.We got coach peanuts.
The plane also had several First Class seats unfilled by EUA and when I requested a Plat companion upgrade for our couple friend in the back ,I was told to take my seat. An email to Scott was answered with I will look into it and get back with you.No further response or followup has occured in well over 4 weeks.

No, but the shakers contain much more salt and pepper than the packets. A pepper lover like me uses more than a single packet of pepper with a meal.

That totally misses the point. The point is that the customer was not offered a choice of roll, which used to be standard operating procedure.

yes, i think that was noted by bocastephen in post #14. that's why i (jokingly) said that the continental chefs probably limit seasoning lest you overseason their masterpieces.

Or, CO is trying to force people like me to limit themselves to one packet of pepper per meal. A pepper shaker probably contains at least ten packets worth of pepper. Limiting each passenger to one packet represents a massive incremental savings for CO.

That's great that you do not care about rolls. I happen to care, however, and would like to be able to choose from what is offered. I do not want some beancounting FA making my roll choice for me, especially when I do not have the time to purchase my own victuals from a medicore airport fast food establishment before my flight.

OK..Id rather have the FA make my roll choice for me..Its one less thing I need to think about, and Im not one to let myself get upset about such trivial items..

Good for you. Thinking does take quite a bit of effort.
