PS Notice that both my posts are "220".

The algorithm that they use is to display how many total posts the user has next to all of their posts, not which post sequentially each of the member's post is. Everyone's number is always the same for all of their posts. The database requirements to do the latter are much more significant than the former.

Sign-on Screen Keeps Interrupting

I have been working hard to document a bug in the "multiple destination" function. Every several minutes a screen pops up telling me I must sign in to the use Preview function. Of course, I was invited and did sign in to get there.

Knowing that we have only four days, I went along with it and kept re-signing in--- UNTIL the point where I had spent a great deal of time fully and correctly documenting all steps in a report. When I clicked the mouse to send the report, the dreaded screen wiped me out.

I've sent a note asking if the report was received and offering to redocument the bugs.

Now I understand. I looked back at some posts and see that even very old posts show an individual's current total.

I am unable to login to the preview site using both Firefox and Camino on a Mac. It repeatedly brings me to the sign-on screen.

I am able to sign in using Safari.

The sign-in page also renders incorrectly in Camino, with it completely off center to the right.

Are you clicking on "Sign In" or just pressing Return? In Firefox, a Return just seems to reload the page while clicking on the "Sign In" button seems to work fine. In Safari, either method works as expected.

I am also seeing this in Safari (3.0.4). The blue menu bar is centered and broken up on the sign-in page.

It isn't every few minutes - it is every few clicks in my case. I've logged in, entered my flight search data and immediately been prompted to sign-in again.

Being forced back to the sign-in page seems to be happening from all sorts of things. I experienced when I clicked on the blue special offers and news banner on the home page. Each time I clicked on an offer, whether a different one or the same one, I was directed to sign-in again, despite the fact that I signed in to get to the home page and had just signed in again after clicking the previous banner. Reported it already by clicking on the comments area.

You guys are correct. Mac (10.5) and Safari (3.0.4) doesn't work at all. After picking the flights, it will drop me back to a sign in page (off-set, of course), and won't let me go on to pick seats and buy the ticket.

No problem with Firefox or Netscape on the same Mac.

Got the email a few minutes ago that the preview site is up. But it's only for 4 days, and CO will roll out the new site for the public 11/11.

I've already reported a bug to them.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll look forward to the new site on Monday.

sbm12 Nov 11, 2007 10:33 pm

So they gave us a whopping 4 days to test out the site. From what I've seen posted on this thread and a couple issues that I know I reported directly, there were definitely issues with the site. As best as I can tell, every single one of the issues I reported are still in the site tonight. The whole point of previewing it and the beta test period is to identify and SOLVE the problems  :td:

I'm going to chalk this one up as the first time they even tried to do it so maybe they weren't sure how to do it correctly (though I'm sure if they asked we could've helped on that too). But honestly, why bother with the preview site if it isn't going to actually be used to resolve issues before they are released publically

Oh, and did anyone get a response from the web team who asked for one? I know I didn't

At this point I feel a bit like we got paid lip service, but in the end CO doesn't really care enough to actually do it correctly, so they're going to just pretend.

I did.

I didn't even get the email indicating that the preview site was up even though I had signed up to be a tester... the last email I got from Scott was a few months back with an update.

However, to those that did get the email, I agree that four days is too short. I would say at least a week, but maybe two. I feel that with four days, it is too short to take care of any bugs, or for testers to completely test out features. I think it just creates a false sense of anticipation for the testers. Nonetheless, I applaud CO for having such a "program" in place, and taking the customer's suggestions into serious consideration.

On a differernt note, don't see much of a change in the new site, but that some pages are better integrated and look a bit more streamlined and nicer to look at.

I posted 4 feedbacks. I did receive one reply from the team.

1. They want us to check the new "destination" page. It's a mess. COEX and CO Connection flights should be included with the CO category, not partners. The names of the airlines are messy too. No change as of now.

2. The new EUA on/off switch. They're showing up on international longhauls coach itinerary that are solely BF flights. No change. On a IAH-EWR-HKG itinerary, initially, the switch was placed with EWR-HKG but not IAH-EWR. This was changed. Now, the switch is placed under the whole IAH-EWR-HKG portion, which makes sense.

3. Whenever I tried to look at fare rules, it dumped me out to the login screen and I can never read any. I think they never properly linked the preview section to those subscreens. So, it's only an issue with the preview.

4. Preview didn't work with Safari running on MacOS X. Can't book anything after choose the flights. Again, it's only a preview issue.

Let me add that I didn't report issues that were in the old site and were not fixed. I only reported problems with the new features.

Also one minor problem, I purchased a Y-fare and obviously upgraded and yet the option to turn off the EUA is still there in the on position.

I like the subtle changes. Especially no calendar pop up and the less cluttered payment page

I have seen the EUA on/off switch on several itineraries. What exactly does this do?
