Hmm. Hadn't thought of that. Hyatt at the Bellevue with AAA rate is $169+tax. Client would be paying regardless, and another stay nets me another FFN. If I check in on the 31st, does that count towards the FFN promotion?

Absolutely! ;)

You're a rapid convert to Hyatt. The 20% off does help, even without FFNs ...

Are base rooms available when you're not logged in?

This happened to me as well. What kind of confirmation do you see for a FFN stay?

I get all the way through a if I'm getting a FFN stay and on the confirmation screen displayed after I make the reservation I end up with a price in HKD and an indication that it's a Diamond guarantee stay. :td:

No. I realize that's the problem. I didn't realize it thought I was logged in a few times...

I'll be staying there in two weeks using a soon-to-expire suite upgrade. Landed a $111.20 AAA rate (but booked back in October).

I'm tempted to pay the $300 or so and see if I can do a suite upgrade. There are suites available, but not the bottom category ones. They'll probably deny that request.

Having a nice brunch of eggs, bratwurst, Kellogg's Raisin Bran Extra, and Turkey Hill Diet Mango Tea.

That sounds like what I got, except the price is in USD and the guarantee is Platinum. I guess I will be calling the Plat line tomorrow.

HR New Brunswick put me in a higher category suite. I can't tell what I have at Bellevue yet but it shows up in GoldPassport as two different rooms.

Solves my problem too. Hotel in question is sold out. Guess I'll be looking for another place for wife and daughter #2 to stay.

Very nice. For that rate, I would not even hesitate. (Tonight, the Kimpton is available for about $138 including tax).

I think it's encouraging Hyatt's override for diamonds does indeed work. ^

That's because OH doesn't have an emotional support cat. He prefers to take his emotional support King Cobra when he travels. He's a big fan of the Snakes on a Plane movie. :D
