If I go, it would be Mar 20-22. I can't commit to anything until I check with the s/o and I won't know until tomorrow afternoon. I hope I can go and somehow convince the s/o that ewr-iah-pty is the most direct way from ewr to pty :)

The southbound flights those weekends are only cheap on the non-stops, FWIW.

I am going to have to try and search for a weekend that allows iah connections to get the 6,370 eqm's. You never know, those extra 2k may make or break the next level.

Paging Ms Baglady:

Tell us all about your unscheduled arrival into ABQ.

The EWR-PTY non stops are so nice though and allow more time in PTY, less time away from home and a better chance of an upgrade. The way things are going with prices you can probably pick up an extra 2K for a song.

I still have mar 20-22 on hold until I figure this out.

Either weekend works for me, though I prefer the second one personally.

Plus I like the idea of the nonstop there and route back via iah. New lines on the FM. ;)

Is there a consensus on when The Box wants to do PTY? I really wanna go, and at this point I don't care if it's for two nights.

February is too far out for me to plan - I usually can plan only four to six weeks out, at the most.

I'm in a similar boat. The latest I can plan right now is January. I'll be looking at dates after dinner.

The S/O has no desire for PTY. I might have to go this alone.

:p

I can't imagine the trouble I would be in if I went alone

I just stand to catch a lecture about financial responsibility. I'm not paying for air since I would use my bump, and Four Points is a good number for me per night.

I asked and invited Mrs. sbm12 just now. She said "no, but have fun."

No wonder I lover her.

Never mind, I can do either - I'm all about IAH on the way home too if it's the later weekend. I'll go with the majority's pick.

ETA: Anyone wanna split rooms? I don't do SPG, so if there's someone with status there that wants the booking, I'll buy a half.

I still have a film camera too. My Canon EOS Rebel S SLR that I bought in 1991 during my senior year of high school still works great and gets used occasionally.
