G'morning Box from the left coast. Much alcohol consumed last night, as always seems to be the case with FTer dinners. Fortunately the hangover doesn't seem too harsh.
If my calendar is correct I believe we have yet another Box Birthday to celebrate today. Happy Birthday mnmag!! |

I had beige leftovers tonight. Pork tenderloin fillets cooked with prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes. Tasty.

I'm thinking of only staying in PH CHI one night (getting another HR ORD $49 / 6,000 night) and visiting NY but I hate flying into the NYC-area airports.

Morning, box. Back in CLE after a nice Key West and PBI trip. |
Is there a reason for me to keep IE8 if I have Firefox and Safari? I'd just as soon uninstall it.

An open letter to my fellow gym goers
Don't fret, January is almost over. That means the "resolutioners" will soon fade back into the obscurity that is their couch, reruns of Friends on TBS, and a bucket of fried chicken. And we can reclaim the civility of our gym.
In the final weeks, please try and stay calm. I was frustrated at all the shenanigans last night too, but guy with the brown New Balances, you took it just a tad too far when you sprayed the sweaty nasty guy with the bottle of disinfectant because he refused to wipe down the machines after he was done. I do, however, applaud your effort at maintaining a hygienic atmosphere. And to you Mr. Tighty-wighties in the locker-room, I guess I have to thank you for not walking around completely nude. I hate to break this to you, but your underwear revealed that either you sat in a pile of mud or you too ate at the Popeyes in Terminal B in ATL before sitting on a plane for 4 hours with a busted loo. I feel your pain sir, I really do. But please, burn the underwear. To the gentleman who was doing "circuits of random," no, I'm not going to get out of your way because you have gym A D D and can't stay at a station for more than 20 seconds. I'm staying put for at least 5 minutes and I'm not going to let you weasel in simply because you cheer really loudly for yourself when you complete a set of 3. Even though it's very amusing. And finally a parting word to the girl in the black sports bra. I applaud your flexibility almost as much as I applaud your wardrobe of choice. Unfortunately, you're interrupting my workout routine by attracting not only the 3 Guatemalans who were trying so hard to speak to you in broken English, but also every guy in the surrounding zip code to be within view of you, your cleavage, and your workout routine that would make Jenna Jamison blush. I really wanted to use those mats to do push-ups, unfortunately I was afraid I was going to get in the way of the crew of people building stadium-seating surrounding the mats. Black sports bra girl, you're more than welcome to continue using our little gym, just please wait until after the resolutioners give-up to bust that little outfit out again. :-: Yours in , belynch |

Morning, Box.
There are so many things I like about my current job and its six-day weeks (and consequently, the week-long Thanksgiving break, two-week Christmas break, two-week spring break, and three months of paid vacation)...but seeing all that "TGIF" on Friday mornings sure is a slap in the  sometimes! (I'm not REALLY complaining, I promise...)

Mmmmm.....prosciutto. My mother makes chicken Saltimbocca that is to die for. The spinach and prosciutto together with Swiss cheese is ridiculously tasty.

I just set FF to be my default and then hide the IE icons in my "Unused Programs" folder. I'm not sure if you can completely remove all of the components of IE.

I feel the way about prosciutto that most of you seem to feel regarding bacon. It is good with everything, and it is good alone. :D My obligatory bacon story of the day - I got to spend a week working in a bacon-making plant a couple years ago. One day, the team's lunch was BLTs. For 15 people, we got an entire deep chafing dish full of thick-cut bacon. My BLT had 9 slices of bacon. ^ I did an hour on the elliptical back at the hotel that night to atone. |
