That's my plan and has been for several months now to be honest. This is where I do my occational teaching. The top person gave notice late this afternoon and the person I report to was promoted to that spot tonight so I'd be in to get things cleaned up at $30/hour 25 hours/ week for at least two weeks to get loose ends in the program cleaned up with the possibility of it going 6 months if things go well. My course still will get the higher rate. After this week I have 6 weeks of unemployment left.(then goes to emergcy fund which means I have to take any job immediately) two weeks of this PT work would be eqivalent to 3 weeks of unemployment so I'd only loose 3 weeks of that if it doesnt' work out.

That's a toughie without knowing. I like SFO's idea of delaying your pay - even possible?

I just got of the phone learning something new from a friend that's there. He thinks it's more like 2 to 3 months minimum based on the meetings they had today. Net diffence between if it was just 2 weeks and unemployment would have been 3 weeks of unemployment. I'm going to go for it. I can always go something else at the same time part time and still look for something full time in the mean time.

Delaying pay isn't possible. It's quasi government and I'm already W2 with them.

I have 6 weeks left. One week of more than 20 hours cuts you off once you are in the extentions. This is 25 hours/min a week at 50% more than unemployement.
