Glad you're ensconced in the hotel. Don't think I've ever stayed in a Homewood Suites - thoughts?

They are selling a 4-DVD set. I already know some of the targeting tactics (although I can't afford to do too many live-fire drills). I do need to get a fraction quicker with the SERPA lock though.

Been on that flight on numerous Saturday mornings. Always got the upgrade at 3 days (as a gold). You will actually see empty seats in F on Saturday mornings. I've been upgraded during weekdays as well. Surprising that as a plat, you are way down the upgrade ladder. I may have taken PHL-IAH R/T 30+ times in a little under 2 years time. Good luck.. I am off to bed.

Look for PHL-SEA/PDX/SAN if you want sub $200.

I forgot to mention last night that my andouille jambalaya tonight is being made with the andouille from Costco that is pork-free. It's a chicken sausage. Should be fun.

I would add PHX, and sometimes SNA/SJC to that list as well. If you are looking for a same day West Coast turn, those are the minimum six city pairs to check, IMO.

Good morning. So far I have escaped the , though the words "conference call" have already appeared in e-mails, so it's a matter of time. |

aloha box. In regards to the Homewood discussion, they're inconsistent. It's my hotel of choice in certain cities I frequent and I avoid them like the plague in others. If you get a new (within the past 3 years) construction they've worked out the kinks. If you get an older one, it's a time machine to a time not that long ago when hotels were miserable. Yeah the kitchen in your room is kind of quirky cool but once you realize you'll never use it, it's just useless space. The flow in some of the rooms can be . What bothers me about brands like Homewood are the inconsistencies. I like to know what I'm getting when I travel (for work). I was at a Homewood a week and a half ago when I was b!tching in here about the Hilton brand. The wi-fi was terrible (I picked-up a stronger signal from an adjacent hotel ), half the equipment in the gym was inop. (I snuck into the adjacent hotel to use their gym), there was water pressure trouble in the bathroom, and the "breakfast" lacked the Home:rolleyes: standards (off to Dunkin'!). |

SMF could be on the list, though I have no idea whether it is possible to do a same-day turn from there. Basically, it's anywhere on the west coast from PHL where both CO and WN fly.

There was a rather large stack just sitting on a table in the SFO Red Carpet Club yesterday. It was a sight of beauty.
If you really want to maximize your return, J Edward and I found a box of them sitting in the corner for the SEA Pclub. Not just any box, but a 8.5x11x12" box full of 'em. |
There are some very tempting weekends specials from EWR... :-:
