Ditto. Same flight to IAH, too. I wonder which of us will EUA first. ;)

The secrets are learning the timing for the "rocket serve" and getting ball placement such that the computer can't return.

I'm just short of Pro status in tennis and I can't seem to beat the opponent that the computer keeps giving me in order to move on. Having read what you said, my first thought was that I'm stuck one or two levels behind you.

Every time I hit one of those rocket serves I feel like I'm doing something different, and I can't seem to nail down one specific way of doing it. I can return them about half the time, and I get aces when I serve one about half the time as well. My ball placement stinks...I haven't yet figured how to twist my wrist in such a way to get the ball to go where I want it to go. I either put it in the computer's wheelhouse or I over-twist and put the ball out.

Hello. Just returned from the morning of service at my younger daughter's school. Warning: multiquote ahead.

Nevertheless, I would have thought that at least someone should be supporting the Jets given they are a NJ team ????

The Jets' original fan base was centered in Queens and Long Island. Keep in mind that the stadium is named for the *other* team that plays there.

Ah, so Wii games mimic real life. If you could promise me that Wii golf would give me a slice out of a Bugs Bunny cartoon (ball goes forward 100 yards, skids to a stop, and takes a right turn) then I'd know that their programming is good.

I would have thought they cared about the Giants. It seems most people in northern NJ do care about the Giants, and could careless about the Jets. I have a friend who relocated to south Florida from NY who is a big Giants fan. Though, she is now rooting for the Jets.:td:

As for the gun shots I heard last night. I haven't seen/read anything about 'em on TV or online. I guess nobody was hit/killed.

The rocket serve is entirely timing. Toss the ball, and make your swing right as the ball reaches peak height. I find it helps to do the toss with the A button rather than an upwards flick of the controller.

As far as returning the rocket goes, you know it'll always be a forehand when you're on the right, and a backhand on the left. I just have my arm on the right side, and do a light swing to return it. If you can hit it, you're good.

If you play the Tiger Woods 10 game with the MotionPlus add-on, it's pretty accurate at replicating the tics of your swings. Sometimes, my golf swing sounds a lot like yours, just 50 yards longer.

I don't know -- the flight is still F9, though :p

Are you going for Starpoints or FFN in SEA?

I rock in Wii table tennis ball placement - have since the first time I picked up a Wii-mote. I do seem to not perform as instinctively well in the other games.

I received dollar coins this morning from the friendly UPS guy.

Good , box.

Wii... Isn't that something you do in the facility after you've had too many beers to drink and the kidneys have been working overtime?

:D

I haven't touched Wii Play in weeks. That challenge to return the ball 100 times was fun to start, and I think I got as high as 40 before whiffing on the ball.
