monitor, I had a friend who stayed at the aloft here in Houston. Now, he isn't the world traveler, but... he experienced excellent service and a clean hotel. I wish I could give a first hand accounting, as I have driven by it, and seen the club hopping on a Friday night/evening. I would probably stay there, just by looking at the exterior.

aLofts work for me -- I like the fact that as an SPG elite -- you get a free coffee & that includes cappuccino from the machine they have there!^

You should have been here earlier when even the SPG fans were saying SPG missed the boat on some of the nice touches. I've rarely thought of the double-double approach because I'm both longer and have a greater wingspan than a double bed.

 I forgot all about that. Now off to check on prices.

I'm undertaking my first BD-enabled run as part of this activity. BNA-ORD-DFW-DEN-IAH. Taking four F seats from UA elites is perversely funny for me even before considering the DFW-DEN-IAH component.

I think you could push two doubles together to accomodate your 'greater wingspan'!;) I'm not a hotel 'expert/connoisseur' by any means -- & don't really travel around enough to make educated comparisons! I'm just saying that my experience at aLofts have been pretty positive -- except for one stay at a new aLoft at Nat'l Harbor, DC where the A/C was installed incorrectly & was leaking water from the ceiling where it was installed -- I got 5K 'service' pts for that inconvenience!:D

Aside from the "just a little too hip elevator", I really did like the aLoft experience, down to the variety of reading material in the room itself. 4P PHL after Central NJ Mini Do was also a very comfortable hotel - clean, comfortable, and quiet go a very long way with me.

We liked our aloft experience. Teh room used space very efficiently, although the bed was pretty poor.

As long as the room didn't smell musty, I didn't hear the leaking water, and the water wasn't leaking on a bed or possession, I would be OK with the 5K SPG points ^

Welcome again from HP BNA. I finished the full bottle of wine, went to the car for Woodford, and continued to drink. As I live in TN now after about a decade of dealing with the DC Beltway with a branch office in LA on West Olympic, I ask "what's traffic?" ;)
