I did't get a promotion, but a change in company policy has netted me an extra weeks vacation for a total of 28 days off between personal days and vacation days. :D:cool:^:-:

Nice! ^

I had a can of diet coke explode in the freezer one time. I had put it in there to cool down quickly, and forgot about it...:D

There's a chance that flurries could be falling at the start of my Tampon run on Saturday morning. I'm going to start an angry thread in the UA Forum if there are inadequate de-icing facilities in Tampa that result in a delay to my mileage run. :-:

Is the tampon run still available? would it be worth me doing one/or more to get the 15k miles I need for BD gold?

Are you looking at a reservation that was made before you got the 3P status? If so, you may need to call and have UA remove the Mileage Plus number from your reservation and then put it back in to reset your E+ access.

Nope, I'm trying to book brand new itineraries.

This will be a generalized cold outbreak, with everyone (including you) getting to join in on the fun. Basically, arctic high pressure is just going to keep sliding down into the U.S., bringing nice frosty temps to almost all. :D

We've been having entirely too much fun the last three weeks. Time to share.

I can report that I successfully got a bump on my IAD flight. Original agent issued the $300 bump and $6 in food. When I arrived at the new gate she had put me on the DCA flight. Went to service desk and had the agent switch me flights and up the voucher to $12. This MR may pay for itself in the end afterall!!

^^

Some tentative good news to report ....

FWIW, it is supposed to be 70 or above through Friday the 15th here.

Tampon was taken away - don't know if it's been reinstated. I can tell you there's a presentable BNA-IAH option I'm routing BNA-ORD-DFW-DEN-IAH, just over 9,000 miles each way at 325% (and not requiring me to stage).

This is not news. :p

GC just called.

The building inspector decided that he would make a detour and check out the excavation on his way home from his "meeting".

He gave the GC the go-ahead to lay down the stone.... but, he wants to come back and inspect the stone before he signs off for the basement walls to be placed....

so it looks like the walls may be placed either on Friday, or more likely Monday because if it snows tomorrow evening (as per weather forecast) the wall company will not make it from PA in time for Friday

Question for teh Box:
I just booked a flight for teh sister on CO metal. She has 0 onepass miles and about ~4k on US. She is a kettle and flies maybe twice a year.

Should I credit her flights to US or CO?

One small step for the building hates-to-be-inspectin' guy, one giant leap for Britchuenite ^

Credit to US. Faster to build an award that way.
