We have about 14 boxes of Omaha Steaks so Plus1 and BL JR will be just fine.

I picked up 14 bottles of wine while in NoVA Saturday so I should be just fine as well.

Congrats baglady

I'm number four on the upgrade list for tomorrow. Five seats open, this is going to be a close one.

I hope the person getting the upgrade on my original flight today appreciates me being stuck here :D

Someone left a canned Diet Pepsi in the car, which exploded as I opened the driver door this morning (I had opened both passenger doors to drop off laptop and get ice scraper). That's a violent event. I thought someone had shot through the other side of the car. There's literally can shrapnel.

Nice part of weather being cold? The exploding Diet Pepsi didn't make much of a mess as it froze directly from vapor

I'm so glad you said that. Made me realize that we have cases of wine in our garage from cxld party. Just asked Plus1 to bring it all in. I'm sure he'll appreciate that.

A pretty advantageous change in corporate policy I would say.

Indeed. I think it moved up the extra week by 3 or 5 years for me. :-:

I'm thinking of teaching the earliest summer term to give myself two months away from students this year ...

If wine freezes in TX, I think there's another profound set of problems that would arise ...

There's a chance that flurries could be falling at the start of my Tampon run on Saturday morning. I'm going to start an angry thread in the UA Forum if there are inadequate de-icing facilities in Tampa that result in a delay to my mileage run. :-:

I can report that I successfully got a bump on my IAD flight. Original agent issued the $300 bump and $6 in food. When I arrived at the new gate she had put me on the DCA flight. Went to service desk and had the agent switch me flights and up the voucher to $12. This MR may pay for itself in the end afterall!!

Can't most aircraft handle flurries with internal deicing equipment?

Your thread must include a statement that you are taking (insert number) seats ordinarily available for upgrade :D

Doesn't a well-designed plan coming together feel great? My MRs seem to always generate the VDB opportunity on the very last segment (e.g. MEM-BNA), so I'm acutely aware of the cost of one-way minivan rentals :p

Not if there's already snow / frost stuck on control surfaces.

Are you looking at a reservation that was made before you got the 3P status? If so, you may need to call and have UA remove the Mileage Plus number from your reservation and then put it back in to reset your E+ access.
