What goes better with Canadian marinara sauce: A 06 Bogle Merlot or an 06 Coppola Merlot?

Bogle!

Been in BCN now for about 6 hours. I'm in love. The food is great, the people are beautiful and the weather is perfect. Better if they stopped smoking so much - I forget what a blessing those laws are - but I'm a big fan.

Also super happy with the CO agents I dealt with today getting my reward changed. I went from CAI-IST-JFK to CAI-IST//BCN-BRU-LHR-EWR at the VERY last minute (after having flown CAI-IST) and the agent couldn't have been more helpful. I had to call back later to confirm and got the same one again and she was just as helpful (if not more) the second time around. A letter will definitely be going in to WeCare about her!

BCN is *AMAZING*!!! I can't wait to go back! Enjoy and happy New year!

What happened with GUM?

I decided that with extra security and she and I having a relapse in our coughs (suprised the Japanese aren't freaking out), we'd stay here for our 6 hours. She seems happy with that and it's a whole lot stressful for me. We arrived at the Marriott last night in GUM, and the room was so musty I had an asthma attack right away. The bellman even remarked that the room smelled bad. I called down and the front desk clerk said they were sold out but she would get back to me; it would just take a while. Meanwhile, I checked the Westin (sold out), Sheraton (sold out), Hilton (sold out), Hyatt (sold out) and was looking at the Nikko and other assorted properties when I got a call from the manager that they found me another room. I have no clue why they would have given a platinum such a $#!tt^ room to begin with, but the room they ended up giving us was fine, though still not great. The bed was awful (I was only in it for less than two hours so it really doesn't matter), there were various housecleaning issues, etc. but at least it didn't smell.

Congratulations. Does this count as the return of the emotipillar?

In my days living in NYC, we used to hear unexplained bangs all the time. We pretended they were cars backfiring.
