There is definitely potential for some Box friction if teh BCS Championship pans out as expected, with a Horns vs. Gators outcome. If that's the case, sbm12, :rolleyes:v, :rollpuck:, and myself will need to make sure we don't end up making posts requiring trips to PLI. :-:

Time for dinner. Bye bye, Box.

Nah, I'm an Aggie (Texas A&M...watching the game now, sloppy play). A few years ago I'd read up on what was going on, primarily with DKE suing; they're a bit of an independent bunch, moreso than other fraternities. It's a private school, so the admin. can do what they wish. And likewise alums can direct their finances elsewhere.

I believe Hamilton did the same thing. Alfred did away with their system (though I've heard they may restart it at some point in the future), and Waynesburg, a small Lutheran (?) college south of Pittsburgh closed theirs.

I need to figure out something for dinner. Had Freebirds last night.

I already booked a room at the 2.5 Points PLI, there is no shuttle so you have to walk :D

Going to spend some quality time with Air Wisconsin?

Also, Spain has lost only one match in the past couple of years. :D

For the platinum amenity, they take 500 points away from you.

Hamilton had done in their system in the 80's when I was at Colgate. The "official " spin from the admin is that the takeover of the houses is to save the system.

My house overexpanded, overinvested to get the house up to code (yeah, liability lived there) and paid DKE for some land and lost the house. The university took over the property and made it one of the houses for a viable frat. My house (without some of the legacy influence players) reformed and got a plan together and the school gave us a house. If anything, my house's experience mirrors the univerity's vision rather than that of the dissidents.

Hamilton, NY has limited housing, and the student housing off campus was not positive to the downtown area -- I think the residence vision is a good thing too.

Been a busy week for me. We made an offer on a condo today in Hoboken and it was accepted . The expected closing date is Feb 10 just after I do 6 straight weekends of flying. Oh and I had my first Five Guys experience and it was ^:D.

Hey, congratulations! What did you buy? High rise, split residence, low-rise project?

And buyer's remorse is a natural, and completely illusionary, response.
