Once arrested for attempting to play 18 holes of golf using a shotgun in lieu of a club as a driver. But nobody has before, since, or perhaps ever will again, be able to mix reporting and first person as colorfully and successfully.

Added: Looking for a reference to the above, I found "Shotgun Golf was invented in the ominous summer of 2004 AD, right here at the Owl Farm..." That is not exactly true; the incident I referred to occurred no later than 1990. But, sometimes, ideas take some time to perfect, I suppose.

I thought "Gordon L. Bethune" was a 777-200.
