Rail is really cheap. NJ train to Penn Station and then the Seventh Avenue IRT line to Clark St or the Broadway BMT to Court. Unless you run into very bad headways, it should not take more than an hour and a half.

PBI is good and that is where I will be, however if I were in BsAs, I would be having dinner at a hole-in-th-wall in San Telmo called El Desvinal. As good or better for grillings as any place in town and much more colorful. Oh, did I mention that it was a fraction of the price of some of the fancy spots?

Is this place listed in Lonely Planet travel guide? I visited a hole-in-the-wall in San Telmo last year whilst walking near the outdoor antiques market. I remember it being cheap, crowded (long, row-tables), and fantastic. I don't recall the name (will look it up in my guide later at home), but I am definitely headed back there in January. There's also another hole-in-the-wall not too far from the Opera House that has the best empanadas I've ever tasted. Will be sure to get the name when I'm back there. Can't wait to get back. It has been nearly two years...far too long.
Keep us posted about the other place because we're all going back there end of August over the Labor Day holiday. As a matter of fact, if you really like it there, these have been great DOs with enormous amounts of wine, food, and good fellowship. Check out the laughs on one of the Cow DO threads. |

I hope the airport is nice because I am going to spending a lot of time there.
( I read the whole thing last night due to jet lag) EZE is not bad , these days the lines to get into security and immigration have been really long. If you are flying CO in J or are Skyteam Elite + , you get access to the salon de las americas or something like that . But If you have an Amex , you can go to The Amex Centurion Lounge which is a little better. also I have to say that EWR was a nightmare this past sunday !!!!! A CO plane at terminal B held my LH flight on the ramp from reaching the gate for 40 minutes , then the US line for immigration had 2 lanes open while the visitor line had about 10 lanes open and the guards would not allow any US citizens to go to the other lanes. They did have an NFL game on the TV which kept me busy for an hour. |

Definitely nuts enough to become a Penalty Box regular. Can you imagine anyone reading more than 70 pages of this prattle and retaining any semblance of sanity? He will fit right in here with the rest of this gang of idiots.

I need therapy
Call me crazy but in the last 24 hours I've put together a trip just for the sake of flying... and I can't really even call it a mileage run since it won't really accrue much in the way of miles on any one airline. But it does get me on AA for the first time since 1989, two new airlines, one new airport, and a flight on a 727.
Here's my itinerary: Day 1: IAH-DFW on AA (CO's schedule wasn't as good... and I haven't flown AA in years, so why not?) DFW-LAS on a Champion Air charter 727 LAS-LAX on UA/Ted Day 2: LAX-MCI-MKE-ATL on Midwest So rather than sit at home in Houston during my Christmas break those two days, I figured it might be fun to add a couple of airlines I've never flown to my list, get in one more flight on a classic airliner, check out AA, and get some Midwest miles I can transfer to Hilton (I have a bunch of Midwest Miles already I transferred from Diners Club using their current 50% transfer promo). Total cost isn't that great for a mileage run, but the miles are just kind of the bonus on this deal. |
Wow, ssullivan, you do need help. ;) Seeking out 727 to fly, huh? Well, how about going east coast and fly the latest Pan Am from Portsmouth, NH (PSM) to Bedford, MA (BED)? I don't see those airports on your Flight Memory! :p

Don't give me any ideas, rkkkwan... ;)
