you are going via atl?! I wasn't able to get a confirmed first via ATL, they all went coach! I saw one option via MSP that I really wanted on return but the timing did not match up for me making it to the airport in time at all.

IIRC, you booked fairly close to your actual departure. DL likely did not have any A Bucket availability left connecting through ATL. NW is not as restrictive with the A Bucket out of its main hubs close to departure as DL is.

There are also a few routes NW discounts pretty aggressively at the last minute - good for 5 or 6 segments per day MRs with upgrade capability.

In my agency, the first check is always issued on paper (the first pay-cycle is a test with direct deposit).

Aye, I don't know why I didn't think of that. She called me and asked me to bring her forgotten lunch and that she had her check in hand. Said check is now deposited, my wife is fed, and all is right with the world. :)

Odd thing is, iPhones have always been MMS capable; AT&T disabled it in the device profile during provisioning so that even more data would not be used on their network. Pretty  if you ask me.

you should have gone luxury with an ostrich, much faster! or you holding out hope for the national bird rental co to give you an upgrade for being executive? (let me remind you, it is MIA, and likley won't happen, and by the time you reach the rental bird center, you are 50% to FLL already)

IIRC, only Pandy-Let offers ostriches. I have :-: Status with Rolle Yes Rentals, so will settle for a discount on an emu.

Healthy foods

Follow-up to the healthy meat discussion of last evening, from an email this morning. I, at least, hadn't heard the story. Have a good weekend.

Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter and a car hit us both.

I think this joke has already made it's rounds in the Box... But either way, :D

This is by far the most entertaining story/joke I have read in a while. :D :-:
