Replacing a Dell laptop screen is incredibly easy these days. It is something like 6-8 screws and a cable or two. It doesn't take more than about 10 minutes if you know what you're doing.

I'm not looking to get rid of the D410 on the whole, just the spare screen for it. Long story short is the original screen actually isn't busted, though I thought it was when I placed the order. :o

Please excuse total hardware ignorance  -- have an ancient Inspiron 4000 that screen went out (of course right after warranty ran out!) -- & wondering if you D410 would fit w/I4000 -- or are they completely different 'animals'?!:rolleyes:

Thanks!

Interesting you should say that (and thanks, by the way). Within two hours of my latest rejection, I have secured two more phone interviews. Proverbial stones on the way up the mountain of employment sure, but any steps forward are steps up. ^

I got out the extra special fairy dust for you today :)

The best of luck on your next two interviews^ I have a good feeling!

Completely different animal. I've got an I4000 with exact same problem. Works great in docking station with external monitor. ;)

For those of you who panned Flash of Genius when it was showing on CO a few months back, why? I found it a very good movie and it enjoyed it very much. I don't think it's just the vicodin ;)

After weeks of straggling to get there, I'm almost at 6k.

.

Thanks , Ill go the ebay route , it is for the Acer Aspire Uno. I gave it to Mom and she busted it on one trip to Europe. I think she had it in her purse and put it in the overhead when she boarded, then someone came with a jumbo rolling bag and forced their bag in crushing the laptop in the process.
I told her she should have taken the laptop out and put it in the seatback, but she just

It was my Lenovo T60p that had the screen replaced. I dunno, maybe the tech was making it tougher than it should be.

So I guess I need to do a status match... Can you point me in the right direction? Does it help to have a European address? ;)

Posting is really slow from my 3G card -- but it's better now that I'm not on a moving train.
