Good luck dealing with them. With layoffs looming there are two types of employees. Those who just do their jobs and those that complain bitterly that no one else is a team player and working against them to deflect attention from what ever they are or are not doing.

Doing just fine. And yourself?

Quick unrelated side note to you, monitor: I am still at my fiancee's house and am coming home later today. Book will ship today or tomorrow.

I'll take a handgun over a knife or stick any day.

True (for me) but eskrima also has disarming (others) drills.

Good morning, all - I would love to join in the discussion of favorite reading genres but it's actually time to get on the road for an afternoon at the beach in ACY (never done that before!) and then back to Princeton for rehearsal... :)

Good Morning Box.

I just read The Godfather again; what a great read. I plan on reading it again before the end of the summer after I finish a few other non-fiction items.

As a responsible CCW holder in my mind, my disarming drill would be to brandish with my finger outside the trigger guard. In my mind, the concealed handgun is the ultimate equalizer. Up to the point of someone who is cranked out of their mind, a brandished handgun is an instant stop signal without having fired a shot.

I was watching The Little Couple last night, and Little Husband went to a range in Houston and inquired about self-protection after being notified of break-ins in their apartment complex. The Little Wife's blantantly incorrect beliefs on gun ownership notwithstanding, he went and he put up some decent groups for someone with very little experience. Watching someone only four feet tall shoot a compact .45 was another bucket of laughs entirely. Little Wife went to a self-defense class and the instructor brought up the topic of CCW and said "You have to be ethically, morally, and religiously in the right frame of mind to take another human life if need be." I looked at my fiancee and said: "I have no religion to speak of, and my ethical and moral codes go out the window if it's a life-threatening situation. My preservation of myself and you always takes precedence." I got a polite smile.

I would just like to say that I am quite impressed with the iPhone/iPod Touch browser. It's the first useful portable browser yet. Now, if only the two year clause would expire so I can get one without having to be tied to ATT.

The rumors of a Verizon iPhone have died down considerably. That's the only way I'd consider it. ATT's signal coverage in my neck of the woods is .

I plan to top that in PRG in about 6 weeks, then again in January.
