Was it a reward ticket? I've never heard "you can't make changes to this type of fare"... They're always willing to do something if the $$ is right.

End result of all the nonsense related to my flights — I'm back on the original BTR-IAH flight on Friday morning. The IAH-ATL flight has never changed, but has now ended up with a Y fare class attached to it, and it's showing 150% EQMs online.

I still don't understand why what I wanted is apparently impossible. But I guess I'm not too surprised. It's just frustrating that the website seemed to allow it and completed the transaction, but dropped a segment in the process. If it wasn't allowed under the fare rules, why couldn't the website have just said that up front?

No, this is a revenue ticket. Booked for work. The problem is that it's ticketed as a connection through IAH, not with a stopover at IAH. Apparently I can only be at IAH four hours or less according to the rules. Or at least that's what I've been told.

I might try again, this time just on the phone, with a different agent.

It looks like our lurk-to-post ratio has come down to about 10:1. Soon we will have Flight Clubs established in every major U.S. city. We are building an Army of :rolleyes:.

I did, and I will. Once everything was reinstated as it originally was, I said "Thanks, just leave it as it was, and I'll figure out what to do."
