My mom has some shoes she swears by, with a bouncy sole for wearing long days...I don't have a clue what brand :p

Not a birdstrike. The windshields are heated and with the massive changes in temperatures from the ground to 35,000 feet, they can crack.

My favorite all day wearing ugly but soothing to my feet shoes are made by ECCO. Unfortunately they have lost their bounciness and ECCO doesn't have a similar style available for me to buy a replacement, hence the need to find black sneakers. Plus sneakers will be alot cheaper and maybe even nicer to look at.

BTW, I guess I am not the first one to notice that distances in the AM worlds are in nautical mile, but the actual figure corresponds to mile in real life?

I find english measure with euro funds quite

I noticed all sorts of anomalies with the distances in AM. I reported them a while back and was told that they don't change things in the middle of games. That's why the range changes are so troubling. I had AC that I'd purchased for particular routes that now can't fly those routes. Big :td: for that...

Last night could have been quite a mess. Inbound aircraft, that makes up the EWR red-eye, was arriving with a cracked windshield. Depending on the depth of the crack, the plane can continue to fly before the windshield needs to be changed. Time of repair: 5-8 hours.

In the mean time SOCC was arranging to ferry up the same type of aircraft from the LAX hanger, just incase the windshield needed to be replaced. The windshield didn't have a little crack, it was totally cracked. Time of delay: 1-2 hours.

The flight left at around 12:30am. We handed out food vouchers and rebooked customer and everyone I dealt with was very understanding.

My feet are killing me. I will be shopping for new shoes before work tonight. I'm thinking of nice black sneakers will work alot better than what I am currently wearing.

Rickports might do the trick. If you know any nurses they may have suggestions too.

We wouldn't notice the shoes if we got more upgrades out of SF:rolleyes:!

Changed the prices as well.

Awww, I'm sure you are very 'special' (as your Mom says), but can appreciate not wanting to share that w/the world -- heehee!

Fair enough - the surrounding areas are quite nice but the city itself is a bit "rolleyes", IMO.

I'll be sure to post before the next time I go to LA so I can get your wine bar and Mexican restaurant (two of my favorites!) recommendations!

Agree re: the city itself

It is a ridiculously beautiful evening here in NYC. Sitting out in a park on the corner of 14th street & 9th avenue, watching the pretty people wander buy and leeching free wifi really isn't so bad. If only there was a bar (or I had planned ahead and brown-bagged it).

A vodka with a nice squeeze of lime would do nicely right now, wouldn't it?

Hey sfogate! I was thinking that you hadn't checked into the Box in a while & was wondering if everything was ok!

Wow -- can imagine that a cracked windshield on an aircraft can be a serious issue. I'm sure that you worked your 'magic' w/all the passengers!

rkkwan May 20, 2009 4:57 pm

My guess about the 733/734 changes in AM is that the Airbus people complained. Now, the 320s are a lot more competitive. In AM1.0, 219/114 733/4s were sold, compared to fifteen 320s. ;)

There are many brands that have a line w/the cushiony inside. Some are quite stylish & very comfortable!

I got burned by that in the 3rd world game. Haven't been burned yet in the new one, but it was annoying.

I need to start packing for my vacation but don't want to go back inside.

You've got my moth watering. Or maybe that is from beauties in the crowds walking by. Or both. I think both. And the vodka would work in a water bottle (been there, done that) with no real problems. Got me planning for tomorrow, assuming comparable weather...
