... err... that strong of a compulsion.

I'm not sure which generates the stronger compulsion to flee... Jersey or IAH. What is it with CO and  locales as hubs?

I doubt she'll get too attached to MEX, as it's only a short stop, and it's MEX. I also have my doubts about ICN. However, I'm fairly certain HKT and CPT will forever be off-limits for solo travel. I'm also quite confident that it won't take much convincing to take her back to CPT. Between the Penguins, Whales, Scenery, and Wineries, I'm convinced she'll be smitten. She wouldn't bat an eyelid if I suggested returning to New Zealand again.

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone getting too attached to MEX. ;) I anticipate being forbidden from solo travel to SYD and HKT.

I told her she would be banned Immediately and almost made her walk the plank on the boat we were on.

Ha! That's funny...

NJ - hands down.

New Jersey sucks. The armpit jokes that the NYers crack are not completely warranted, but they do have limited merit. At least we're not as taxed as NY is now. I thought NJ really had the monopoly on government waste.

I say it's a pretty strong business model.

Yeah, NJ has to be worse than Houston.

I actually really enjoy MEX. The area around Polanco is great, all the Aztec stuff is very cool, and I'm addicted to good (real) Mexican food. Granted, coughing up black stuff after spending a few days there sucks, but I still enjoy the place. I hope CO reopens a PC there after the *A transition, as losing the AM lounge will suck.

Yeah, I was reading Dante's Inferno and I swear there was a NJ reference in there.

I remember coughing up desert fine sand my first few days in Saudi, and spitting while brushing my teeth only to see light brown. Also high in  factor was ATH - walk around for three days and feel like you've been smoking for 20 years. I've heard ATH cleaned itself up quite nicely, but when Iwas there it was awful on the eyes and lungs.

As much as I would like to get out of this state (mostly for weather related issues), I don't know if I can agree with the above statements. For the most part, NJ is a nice place to live. The pay scales here are hard to beat, there are many solid school systems, almost "everything" is close by and overall it is a nice looking place (some exceptions exist, of course). Yes, the state government is corrupt and we need to deal with certain armpit type areas but I am still happy to have been born and raised in NJ.

Now to find a job in another state... :D

We are only in the fifth circle here. Circles six and seven are rumored to include most of the Third World, and most of Redneckistan.

Hey! Watch it! ;) EWR (and some of the surrounding areas) are not accurate representations of all that NJ has to offer.

sdm1130 Apr 23, 2009 9:49 am

I'm defending NJ... I've lost it.

sdm1130 Apr 23, 2009 9:51 am

Nevermind.

Yes, I believe "halfway along our life's path" is a reference to the Turnpike.
