I would not buy it, seen a lot better deals from tigerdirect and buy.com recently. Not exactly this size but a bit larger for just a little more. But before you buy I'd go to a store and see it in person or a model like it. I am not impressed with most of the LCD TVs very dull and drab colors, there are a few that stand out but I don't remember the vibrance of the sony's really popping to me.

At least I got an apology at the 27-minute mark...and before anyone says I'm being a diva, the lobby here is f-ing dead. If I have to be on time and put my best foot forward, it'd be super nice if the property did the same, no?

I'm a big QC2 fan.

I've had to revert back to my default iPod ear buds. I was using some noise cancelling Sony ear buds but a few issues. The main issue is I lost the insert piece so that missing one cent piece render it useless. But the other issues were that they, and most ear buds get uncomfortable for me after about and hour and half. That doesn't happen with default iPod crap. The other issue with all noise cancelling stuff is that I have sensitive hearing and I seem to notice the noise cancelling sound and I can't sleep with them turned on. Even happens with a set of Bose I borrowed. The moment I turn them off, I fall asleep. Eating drives me nuts with those things on too, especially crunchy stuff. The sound quality was great on the Sony's. I also found that noise cancelling head phones do nothing for me with 737-NG's as I hear noises from the engine that aren't cancelled and it seems rather louad.

Look, the American people deserve to know a good woot when they see one, you know. Because, look, woots are important, they stimulate the economy. Look, if it were easy to find a good woot, everyone would already be doing it. You know, we should all start looking for woots.

Sorry, after last night's 30 some odd "you knows" and even more "looks", I couldn't resist. :p

About the woot: Meh.

For the same reason that I never buy an umbrella for more than $1, I have about 100 pairs of earbuds. I consider these types of items, due to my goldfish memory, disposable.

In random music news, I thought I hated Linkin Park, but Meteora found its way on to my iPood (long story) and it came up in my shuffle rotation last night at the gym. I have to concede, I actually find some legitimate musical merit to some of the tracks on this album.

Please don't hate me for making that statement.

What is the best brand of LCD tv on the market?

I'm a Shure non-cxling earbud guy...110 bucks five years ago and I've glued one of the earpieces back together at least a few times. I think the pair I have are EC-2's. Worth it and then some, because they are loud as can be...your normal volume settings will be too high if you buy them.

Mornin' box.

I personally like the Sony NC-10/NC-11s as my earphones of choice. I like the earbuds as they are small and with my habit of losing them/leaving them on airplanes, the $75 replacement cost doesn't kill me.

I personally love Sony Bravia XBR's. You have to tweek the settings, like with all LCD TV's but the picture quality is brilliant especially with HD signals once it's tweeked (factory settings are too high). Just meh to sub meh with analog but that's the case with most LCD tv's

I'm leaning towards the Samsung ln55a950 model, waiting to purchase after the DEQM period is over so I can actually be home to enjoy it.

I am an earbud guy as well - I have Entymonics and love them. Those big QCs can be a pain when you are trying to sleep and, more importantly, are not very useful outside of planes.

Plus, I too agree that losing the Bose would just suck...

I have both Shures and Bose. I use the Bose for long flights as my ears doesn't like the Shures in them for more than five hours at a time. Agree with you though, Shures are quite good. I'm on my second pair right now.

I am still rather old school with my Sony LCD Rear Projection, but the picture still seems to beat most LCDs that I have seen.

Not to mention that most people (including me, I'll admit) look like complete dorks while wearing them. :D

I like them anyway...
