Harajuku and Shibuya are pretty close
Shibuya station is really cool at night with all the lights
and the streets around there are cool by foot. I really need to upload my pics .The intersection is famous and usually in movies .

Harajuku has a famous street called Takeshita , where all the crazy hair do people and funky clothing stores are.

I think the PWP demands that I link my pictures even though I fell like I've prattled on a bit already. :o The first 188 are of Tokyo.

Agreed. In one day, I explored five different neighborhoods. It was a real marathon, though. Shibuya is great, but there is no reason to spend a whole day there, unless you really wanted to explore every street and alley. The park with the zoo and nearby museums is nice, though, and you could probably make a day out of it and Shibuya if you went to the zoo and museums.

I know this has been discussed, but when do I need to finish travel to earn miles on the NW flight?

Also, if I book the NW nonstop flight do I run the risk or NW/DL cancelling it?

I guess the other option for 1 day is to do a city tour , I had a flyer for a tour that included many places and a boat ride .

At the DO they said the ticket will be honored but if you travel after the close of flights on Oct 24 you will get zero miles.

I looked into that, as well. The tours cover a lot of ground and would be worthwhile if you don't want to hop on and off trains all day.

Is anyone finding the NW nonstop flights in Sept or OCT? I am not, they are pricing at $4,272 :(

I wouldn't worry about that. That flight has existed for years and never been in danger of being cut. There's enough demand from SEA that NW upped it from a 332 to a 333 recently and UA still flies a 777 and that's just the US carriers.

Add me to that list. I don't have such a problem with burning Marriott points though.

The way I seem to generate Marriott Rewards points without even trying, I have no issue spending them. I'm pretty much the same way with Hilton too, although Marriott's quarterly bonus offers are far more lucrative.

As for Starwood, it takes me so long to accumulate enough points to get a decent award that I've never redeemed any of my points there. I'm hoping to get Platinum with them this year, but it's a lot of work for me, given the places I have to go for work.
