The McD's southwest chicken salad is awesome! It's the only thing Ronnie makes that I like

HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE.

Search for "chopper" in Las Vegas. He is also known as the "King of Cars". He had a late night ad playing for the Tobin Dodge in LAS. I am too tired to search for it now, but it is annoying

doing a straight return from NRT. Does anyone know how I would get a boarding pass? Do I have to go to the CO desk and re check in?

Chop also had a reality show about car sales - wish I was making this  up - on A&E titled "King of Cars". The ads for that were almost as bad as Boost Mobile.

Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay is good if you are looking for something nice but inexpensive, but it is a 20 minute train ride from central Tokyo. The Courtyard in Ginza is in a good location at $200ish per night. There also are some New Otani properties that are nice, but are not really inexpensive.

Thanks! The Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay ($500/night) is more expensive than the Westin, so that's out. I saw the Courtyard and will have to investigate it's proximity to tourist attractions.

Buy, don't hold. You have 24 hours to cancel and you run the severe risk of getting hosed with the hold.

I figured as much, so I purchased 5 minutes after I posted that.

Here's the "King of Cars" commercial referenced previously - imagine seeing this during every cable TV commercial break for a period of approximately half a year.

I can translate the commercial except for "Dooz It Large"; I'm apparently too old to be that hip.

The Westin is nice, but look at the Sheraton Miyako. It's generally cheaper and the internet is (well it was last time I was there) free.

You should be able to just go to the 'transfer' desk and get them to print your new boarding pass.

I just booked two, one in Oct with a few friends and one in Jan to get a jump on next year.

Unfortunately, the NW flights aren't available in Oct, otherwise I would have done that one way for the new FM line.

Should someone page ALCO so he doesn't miss out? :D

To ssullivan or any other IAHers. Where do you buy your tortillas from? I want to dabble and make a home made burrito. I saw them for sale at Kroger. Is there any place/brand you can recommend?

There is a place here in the Heights called El Bolillo where I get corn tortillas by the kilogram. It is across from Canino market on Airline.

I stayed at a Toyoko Inn in Tokyo (Asakusa) and found it comfortable. It's a no frills brand marketed towards Japanese customers and you won't get any points for it , but it was clean and well kept. For a MR it may be a nice price point.

Good idea on booking for Jan. I may think about that, but the S/O HATES MR's....
So I say. No Status For You... :D:eek::o

Lurker1999 Feb 18, 2009 8:20 pm

I'm tempted to book another one of these SEA-NRT for a trip to BKK but I have no idea what my vacation time later this year will look like.

LOL.

Mine actually said "go". Surprised the heck out of me. That's twice in a week. I think it is that mine enjoys the perks of me being Plat.
