Any reason why?
I am thinking of turning it into a 2 week vacation for my other half and I. Spend a few days in SEA and then grab the flights to NRT and spend about a week and a half there. |

I'll be sure to direct the pitchfork & torches brigade to your house when the next round of FFP cuts is implemented. :D

"Save a Turkey, Go to Tokyo" is apparently not a successful sales pitch.

We didn't go for the NRT deal (yet), but are still talking about it. Unfortunately, unless we go in the summer, our routing would be CLE-IAH-SEA-IAH-NRT - and I'll have a hard time selling that at home.
But at least the idea of vacation in Japan is now percolating ... ;) |

FWIW, I hate the bmi ICC. What does it take to get a flight ticketed.

I hate spending *Points, but I guess 8K Points + $150 isn't too bad for C&P at the Westin St. John. With any luck, maybe it will drop to a Cat 5 in March when the new hotel categories are published (yeah, right...)

Was in NRT a year ago November. Stayed at the Hilton (which I recommend) because of location. The Hyatt Regency is across the street.
Direct bus service from NRT to Hilton (and also for return) directly at the hotel entrance. You can buy ticket from the bell stand. Bus is cheap. In my case arrival from BKK to NRT -quick through immigration/customs, right out to ATM machine then quick ticket bus purchase and quick boarding of the bus right outside. We were in the hotel within 1 hour. The location is Shinjuku in Toyko. Only take the bus into town, do not take the trains or subways or you will get lost. Shinjuku you can walk everywhere you might want to go. All the night life (lots of lights) is in the area - you can walk there. Plus lots of department stores, etc. Food is expensive - but try the top floor food areas of teh Dept stores. There is an underground walkway system - easy to learn - so you can walk most places from underground - even a 1/2 hour walk underground. If you have a couple of days - do go into Tokyo - by the airport bus direct to hotels. Note - that nothing is in English and no one speaks English, except in the hotels. Even the hotel clerks have trouble with English - but you can get by. These are the places I visited ShinJuku Harinjuku Omotesando Asakusa Harajuku Shibuya Daiba |

Hopefully some of the Honeymoon hotels will experience a category drop this year. With many in Asia/Europe, the economic situation, and the Euro dropping like a rock, here's hoping...
