Personally after dealing with bags for the past few months I wish we wouldn't charge for the first bag. Do you have any idea how many bags I have to drag off the carousel every night, mainly because we have advanced the bags earlier, but those damn things weight a ton. Since we started charging for checked luggage everyone has packed their bags to exactly 50 lbs. The increased IDB plus tying it to inflation makes sense but it will likely reduce overbookings and VDB opportunities as a result. Win some, lose some. And most folks ignore that IDB is tied to fare paid so VDB can be more lucrative, though not in real cash. The bag stuff changing should be useful. Oh, and it isn't "legislation" technically as they are rules laid out by the DoT, not legislators. |

Completed move #2 today. The moving gods smiled upon us this morning and kept the temp below 85. Fortunately all my crap was going to a climate controlled storage unit so the 95+ temps at the drop off weren't a horrible issue. |
