I saw it going into the land of major rolleyes today at DFW.

Not much flying out of there these days. I did some onsite work there with Luminant (better known as TXU) since they have a maintenance and operations center in a rented out part of the base.

Last I heard they're actually supposed to close the last runway soon. There are no real facilities there anymore.

Naval Air Station (NAS) Dallas officially decommissioned 26 September 1998. Its tenant commands had been relocating to NAS Joint Reserve Base (JRB) in Fort Worth for several years. NAS JRB Fort Worth was officially established 01 October 1998. Shortly after the establishment ceremony, commands and units from NAS Dallas moved to Fort Worth in stages, as renovation or new construction projects were completed.

! GREAT SUCCESS

Just changed around some of my honeymoon flights. Ditched the TK segments (which were 8 hours on inter-EU birds :rolleyes:) in favor of LX F CDG - ZRH - DXB. We get into DXB at a humane hour now so off to book at the Grand Hyatt using my FFN.

We're now doing LH F from BOS - MUC on the outbound so we should get F treatment in MUC. The only real sacrifice is the whole itinerary starts with US F on a shuttle flight between LGA - BOS.

:D:D:cool::D

Great news. I'm still jealous.

I think my better half is getting tired of hearing about LH and LX F.

Doesn't like the discussion of ducks??

I missed by one yesterday. I think I got to the gate a little too late for the IDB. Oh well, was not the intent of the ticket to begin with. Still can't believe the way UA treated the canceled IAD flight.

belynch How much time are you spending in Dubai? The Hilton Jumeriah beach may not be a bad option either.

I suggested LIM, but that has rejected by the s/o. I found CM/CO flights. EWR-MCO-PTY-LIM-IAH-EWR for about $6ish

Arrive at 20:30. Depart at 09:30.

Figure that's enough time to have a nice supper, see some :rolleyes:, and get a "stamp in the passport."

Then you should be fine with Hyatt, it is pretty close to DXB.
