Plus1 and I have been looking at the Michael Chichton art collection on Christies.com. Mostly, I've been  at what the Jeff Koons stuff sold for (and surprised how low most of the Picasso's went for). I told Plus1 I don't remember learning about Jeff Koons in art history, then mentioned the dates of his works and said that was because I took art history before the pieces were done. Plus1 said "that's how you know you're really old":mad::rolleyes:

Woo hoo! The nice thing about not having to recover from meds was that the next day I had a wonderful gourmet lunch (my neighbor was in mgmt @ the hospital!;)) & my daughter came (with her happy meal) to see her new brother. She was soo excited about him that she asked if she could 'bring him to school for show & tell -- every day!:D I had to gently explain to her that while her new brother could visit her class -- he wasn't going to be able to be her 'show & tell' every day!;),
But I did have meds; and yet, was still able to drink champagne. It's that midwestern stock :D |

There are times it gets blocked and times it is so slow it's almost impossible to use. It seems to get much slower when there are "issues" going on there and yes, at times blocked. I had CNN blocked this past trip, which happens every so often (I could get the CNN Int'l station though on TV); in fact most news sites were blocked (including local news but there was an incident here so guessing that's why:rolleyes:); however I was able to get nypost.com without incident at any time. Guess it's not considered a real news outlet :D
I did not know about the "issue" in china until I got to NRT and checked in with friends in LAS. |

I guess china knows that FT'ers have all the news in the box.

That's poetic in the most awful sense. I can think of few things I'd want to do less at the moment...just hoping that about 4 years from now I'll wake up with a 180* change of heart. Can't imagine that possibility at the moment, though. :p

Stanford = gorgeous. I was actually a coin-flip away from going there for undergrad. Yes, it came down to that. I'm indecisive. (Looking back now, I believe I definitely made the right choice, but I don't know if I really could have known that at the time. That's the way these things happen, right?)
