I have been on Carnival cruises before, when I was in my early 20's. I liked the wild times, then, but I am not into running around drunk in my underwear anymore and I don't want to be around people that do that. I think the next cruise I do will be RCCL from BCN :-:

I had an overnight in Freetown planned (en route to Banjul) before canceling that trip in favor of Recife & Rio. You can ride Mi-8 Helicopters between the airport in Freetown (actually across the river in Lungi) and the old World Food Program heliport in central Freetown. ^

Food sucks on RCCL. If you want to do an ex-BCN, go to Princess and look up Grand Mediterranean. ^

I've been on 2 charter cruises with RCCL. Really, really enjoyed those (far more than I ever thought I would!).

I am astounded that I can't get a non-stop between DFW and SFO on a weekday afternoon on UA. And I'm equally astounded that CO's connections via IAH are absolutely teh suck between these two cities.

I have flown DFW-SFO a couple of times, and in the time I've been traveling UA has only ever had the morning and evening flights (I'm assuming to connect with transpac flights). The last time I tried to fly them was during the big rainstorms in DFW a couple of years ago and my flight was canceled, with nothing available on any of AA's many flights, and they rebooked me on the evening flight, which would have gotten me in to SFO much too late.

I'm surprised to hear that CO's connections are bad, because there are very frequent flights to IAH and one would think that at least some of them would match a connection to SFO. (That's what I ended up doing during the incident above.) On the other hand, ITA tells me that the best late afternoon connection starts in DAL, which doesn't help you.

At that point, the only one-way fares AA was selling were K-UPs. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore, however.

I've been on two. I have a free NYC-LON crossing on Cunard that I can use and I just need to find the time to do it.

Sorry, should have clarified. It's not the epicenter of the Gaylord 'ness. It's the one in DFW. Even more  if you ask me.
They have been for about a month now. I just got the reminder email this a.m. I'm actually surprised no one else has jumped on the :rolleyes:wagon.

Yup, and it is working so badly for them that this is actually the second time they've sent out the mass mailing trying to drum up business with it. Pretty depressing for an airlines when you're the only one offering across-the-board DEQM and DRDM and no one seems to care.

must have missed the 1st e-mail

Twice in less than 1 hour, underwear has been referenced

ConciergeMike May 12, 2010 8:15 am

I wonder if the brain trust at US really comprehends why no one cares about their DEQM promo. Surely they can't be sitting in their offices thinking that they did not bring this upon themselves.

About time CO got fined for refusing me boarding when I tried to bring my service Pony on-board.

Finally! My service anaconda was refused and I've filed suit for pain and suffering. It's discrimination I tell ya!
