Hello and goodby all in one.
Got back late last night from AMA and worked like a dog all day in clinic. There are no "days off". All they do is shove two days of work into one. Anyway, AMA is surely in Gods Country. I did drive through AMA about 37 years ago and stopped at that time at the Steak Ranch (eat this 72 ounce steak in 90 minutes and get it free :o). I did not do the free steak but just bought a normal 6 oz one. Anyway, it is still there on I-40 and uglier than ever but I did not stop there yesterday. Other than that, I have not seen any place so devoid of trees. Basically, I am exhausted and have a 7 AM conference so off to bed I go. Be good, you future Counies. (Sounds like a STD) |
I am on the eastern side of TX now, for a couple hours before heading back my way.

How I intended to spend my evening: playing tennis (and winning), booking/researching trips to ROA, EWN, ORD, DEN, BSB, and BKK. How I actually spent my evening: playing tennis (and getting utterly schooled 6-0 6-3 6-1 by my best friend), hacksawing through the old battery posts on a dead car battery in order to remove said battery from vehicle, and cleaning up the sulfuric acid I spilled all over the garage in the process. What is this "life" business that gets in the way of my flying?? I'm not sure I approve... |
