I've only stayed at teh Sheraton, which is very nice, and on the Kowloon side (great views of the Harbor). I've heard LM Cyberport is in a somewhat inconvenient/out of the way location.
IIRC, I took a taxi from the AeroRail Station in Kowloon. It was about $5, if that. |

I think we may have good news coming at home very soon with the other half's job search. :D
That's all I can say about that right now.

My  moment of the work day — just now a lady who has been here all day as we've had an in-depth discussion about how to create a position for an employee and assign a budget to it says to me, "Now when we do we get in-depth training on this stuff?"
Apparently she's slept through everything we've done today. If spending 30 minutes discussing one field on one form isn't in-depth, I don't know what is. This was her response to my announcement that now after we've done this about 10 times as a group, they're going to break up a list of positions, each take a piece of the list, and work in pairs to enter the data into the system as practice and to learn how to do it. I guess me saying, "Today is the day we transition from system build to training and testing," this morning was totally missed. |

The party lav is cheating. A regular size lav requires far more skill.
And pulling it off in the F lav of a CR9 or the lav on any sort of turboprop deserves a special :-::-::-::-::-: recognition. |
Five more essays - need to push through the pain.

You know what we look like. Nothing short of debilitating illness will make us fit in a regular lav.

I was sound asleep (very early and much needed) but the darn cell went off and it was hard to find so my heart is doing double-time. Of course it was a wrong number:mad:

Some in Teh Box may recall the Wawa sandwich maker who decided to engage me in conversation regarding her penchant for eating dirt that she held on to after pregnancy. Would not have been nearly as memorable or creepy had she been making someone else's sandwich while we were having this "conversation".

And I still have three more essays to grade. At least I won't wake up in the middle of the night worrying about grading once these are done.

Indians must not be playing the White Sox tonight

I had a somewhat similar experience today. I spent almost two hours training a guy one-on-one. At the end he looked at me and said, "This is a really nice product, I'm definitely going to recommend the firm go with this". Um, dude, your firm already signed a multi-million dollar contract with us. Apparently, this guy is a real pain in the a$$ and the branch manager felt the only way he could be trained was to trick him into thinking he was evaluting our product for the firm.

Speaking of margaritas, I had one (OK, several) tonight made with egg whites. Doesn't change the flavor, but provides a nice frothy texture, like an Orange Julius.
