Sweet. Just got a new US Patent after a bajillion years. Too bad I don't get a dime for it. Oh well.

I almost had a patent about 5 years ago. Going rate for a patent at my company is something like $2K + a recognition banquet. My FIL has one related to preparation of low-fat salad dressings.

The last time I was in JFK T5 was 1996, when it was still TWA's home. The interior fittings were kind of dumpy-looking (as befitting TWA at the time), but the building itself was ^. Memorable enough that I still remember.

The building is 100% new now and the Saarinen building isn't in use yet but last time I walked by it had some activity inside. It is most definitely not "dumpy-looking" at all.

I don't mind some parts of ORD at all.

The people who hate ORD are the people who connect through ORD (especially the ones who connect from F11-B22). Since it's my home airport, I'm probably a little biased, but it's not too bad.

* Security is usually pretty quick, even in non-elite lines (and in some cases, even faster). On Monday mornings, I can shoot for arriving in the parking garage at departure-60, get through security, grab a quick breakfast at McD's, and make it to my gate with time to spare before the boarding call.
* Because they're so busy, the TSA goons don't powertrip as much as at smaller airports.
* The new high-B RCC is nice.
* When I do need to check bags, they're typically pretty quick. I've had times where even landing in B concourse, my checked bag has made it to the carousel before I did.

What's not so good:
* Insufficient seating, especially in the UX gates and some of the 767 gate areas.
* Not enough food choices, especially in E/F
* How things go south in bad weather (although that's improved a lot with the new runways opening)

ORD's fine, but not one of my favorites. As with ATL, the concourses are too narrow to accommodate all the people. Even Terminal C at IAH has nice wide concourses.

Yep, although C seems better lately. My average wait time lately has been less than 15 minutes from the time I was off the plane until the bag arrived.

Unless I've come off a redeye, this has been my experience as well.

GCM, RTB and SJO are specials from IAH this week. :-:

Hopefully he is not the one that got the bright idea to replace oil with SUGAR, therefore making lower 'fat' but still very high calorie, and totally altering the taste balance :D

.

I was very impressed with the whole B6 operation, it was only my second time on them. The last time I was nonrev with my boss. (His wife was an FA and we were trying to get down to FLL for BCS game)

Besides their standby shenanigiiii this weekend, B6 was ^
