SMF for me. :o

Oh yeah. And FRA. Does FRA count as it's not really the TSA?

The adjustment to General Member status seems to be taking. :-:

I got an e-mail about the recent "enhancement" to our motor pool (no more vehicles, have to use Enterprise).

No TSA agent has ever given me any crap. I did have one dude flag me for secondary but it was less than ten seconds, he was polite, and it was not a big deal at all.

I suppose most of them look at me and figure I'm more trouble than it's worth.

My experience there, granted only one, was very snarky and rude. The agent made a stink about my toiletry bag. I have a Coach toiletry bag that is somewhat nicer than your average Kippie bag. Despite that I had correct sizes of everything, the bag somehow bothered him.

I've gotten the explosive swab once or twice, and there was once that I was legitimately worried about it because I had been shooting in the last day or two.

Good morning Box. The President is still in town, I think -- he usually stays at the Hyatt across the street from my office. My usual 8 minute drive was very  with the various street closures that, of course, were not announced.

I hold the distinction of being the first person to set off the "puffer" in LAS. The TSA person said "whoa. It actually works."

I responded with, "apparently, it doesn't."

yadda yadda yadda, I missed my flight.

"I'm sorry, I farted. Can we try this again?"

I got puffed in FLL and asked if the machine would tell me my body fat percentage. Agent off to the side said "that would take too long".

I've gotten the swabs multiple times and am more concerned about false readings from doing yardwork in my gym shoes.

WWTBD? Starwood Hotel in Hong Kong .

On this edition of WWTBD? jrzyshawn is looking for a Starwood hotel recommendation from the collective wisdom of the Box.

Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers in Kowloon for $2,000 HKD or Le Méridien Cyberport on Hong Kong Island for $1,300 HKD

I am arriving in HKG at 10:30 PM. From what I remember the Sheraton is just a few blocks from the MTR, but I could be wrong.

I've only stayed at teh Sheraton, which is very nice, and on the Kowloon side (great views of the Harbor). I've heard LM Cyberport is in a somewhat inconvenient/out of the way location.

IIRC, I took a taxi from the AeroRail Station in Kowloon. It was about $5, if that.
