Believe me I totally understand. My mom has no excuse.

Neither does mine, the one who keeps saying it's no big deal. 8 hours and 39 minutes until I'm out of here.

I'll be at work Sunday and Monday night (from 4:30-1am) if you want to stop by and say hello, in case you are leaving one of those nights. Carousel 5 that's my corner.

Thanks, would love to but unfortunately leaving early Sunday.

Well, that works!^ It's so hard to believe that any place couldn't stock decent wine with so many inexpensive choices out there! I was thinking about Monitor as I've been indulging in some $20+ bottles of wine (this is 'rich' for me!) recently at a wine store that I'm sure he is very familiar with!^

I did not realize that your dad was suffering from Alzheimer's -- and the remark on the '400 lbs' business sounds sooo odd!:rolleyes:

1984 Ford Fairmont for me -- veritable vengturi carb was its downfall.

Teh Fairmont was the car of love acording to all of my friends -- at the end, if I took a right turn, water (quarts) leaked from teh vent and splashed the passenger leg area. I recall Peter Drucker asking why I told him to lift his legs during a turn (icurhere2 will find humor here). I used to drive PD home from his teaching at age 84.

My dad is in mid/late alzheimers and it is awful. It's given me a greater appreciation for my mom, truly, and I love her no matter what. I love my dad as well, but it is hard. Today has been a day from hades and his comment was like the low fat whipped cream on my sugar free jello.

There is a good wine store here, I just didn't go to it (good as in wine that is drinkable as opposed to having to had champagne and other liquors to make it drinkable)

How about offering to work for them on a weekend night? Plus money if you really want that flight.

Or you could sudden take ill and have to leave work. ;)

I almost always help people out with switches, but there are always a few who never switch and I never switch for them :-:

I have offered a cash payment for working my shift and I have one guy who needs to check with his wife, but I know by the time he gets back to me OZ F will be gone and I will not need the switch then.
I thought about the illness, but they are on to me

I really want to go, but I don't think I am going to be up to it after 18 hours of travel from the other side of the world. On the other hand I don't want to wait 5 more years to go. I will talk it over with the other half and see what the plan is.

I need to search ebay for a Verizon global phone to activate before I travel to HKG. I get in 2 days after the s/o and I have to travel to Guangzhou alone. I would feel better with a phone that I can use to call the group if I run into any trouble.

Yep, well we've gotten to the part of our night where we're watching Mystic Pizza and my dad is enquiring after how many ladies wear shirts to bed. Time to down a few shots and go to bed. Good night box.

Go Huskers.

Best of luck to me in the Power Ball for tomorrow night

Interesting tomorrow as I hang out with friends including a girl I haven't seen since high school (and her brother married the ho blex um, had a good time with). I will keep my mouth shut by drinking husker flavored libations. He!! china is looking good right now
