Close - it's just south of Tulare/Visalia, right off CA-99. For all the West Coast Boxers, it's the home of Knudsen products (cottage cheese, sour cream). For everyone else, the infamous green can of Parmesan begins its life in the Central Valley.

Has it been that many? Yeesh. Where did you find the master list?

Not sure what you're talking about, but if it's the milestone list Copa keeps that up.

G'day box.

Discovered last night that a Krispy Kreme retailer (not factory store) has opened up across from a nearby Dunkin'. Giddy-up.

We missed you!

It would have been of mutual benefit had I been able to be there. Your name came up again last night since the discussion turned to wedding vendors after I got home.

Always a good backup to be kept in the fridge, just in case.

Morning, Box.

Haven't touched it in months. If someone would like to pick up that torch, feel free. Search Teh Box for posts by me with 'milestone' in the text search.

For those too lazy to search, I was slightly less lazy - last one I found is current to 119K (early December):

Indeed. Hard to top a good real parmesan (I think we sell parm wedges under the DiGiorno name - not sure if that got sold off with our pizza biz when we bought Cadbury).

People like to associate us with all of the processed cheese (velveeta, etc), but we do make some pretty good stuff:

For those of you in the greater NYC area, the fresh mozzarella they're referring to is Pollio (Fior di Latte, IIRC).

The green can Parmesan is also what we will put on the nieces' dishes while my fiancee and I will use the more artisan stuff. 6 and 8 year olds with no palate for such aren't going to notice the difference.

They certainly won't. I use fresh parm on pasta. The green can is fine when you want to shake a little on your pizza.

Wow - I was flashing forward. They're not 6 and 8, but they will be on my wedding day.

Clearly some people are entirely too dumb to be operating a computer.

It's like playing cards with my brother's kids...

Although you can be surprised. After my father-in-law gave our almost 2-year old daughter a slice of good aged sharp cheddar, she turned her nose up at Kraft Singles for a little while.
