Moving the progress forward.

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone answering a political poll. Each question had multi parts to it. Since when did political polling become so difficult.

I hate Route 1. (the NJ part, at least - there must be some nice bits in those 2000 miles)

Having driven on and living about a mile from Route 1 in Philly, I can say that if there are nice bits, they are not found near me.

If you roll down your window at the right spot along Roosevelt Blvd, you'll get the sweet smells of cookies and crackers from the Nabisco bakery. ^

push poll to a certain candidate, or a real one?

I had Rasmussen poll me a month or so again...was interesting about 10 min.

...if you could smell it over the exhaust from the traffic. I've passed the Nabisco bakery many times (along with the shuttered IRS facility and Crown Cork and Seal).

A 30-minute survey would be a very expensive push poll.

Good point - I'm usually pulling into the parking lot.

They never tell you who is doing the polling but I believe it was a push poll since one candidate's name was constantly being named.

For the US Senate race in CA. Carly Fiorina has lots of money that she is spending. Meg Whitman (EBay) is also spending alot of her own money to become Governor.

Is this what I have to look forward to? My cats are only 3yrs old.

I'm more polite! I generally thank them for wanting my input, but sadly I cannot spare the time, goodbye. and then hang up.

I figure these poor folks are just trying to do a job - and a rotten one at that - that the least I can do is politely turn them down.

I would have but I was doing the dishes and had nothing better to do with my time. It did help cleaning the kitchen go by faster. ^
