I'm conflicted. Brought my AF A380 model to the office but now undecided whether to leave it sealed in box or actually set it up.

A model in a BOX is a waste. I just hope you got it free, why would anyone want a model of 'The Flying forehead'

Sweet. I'll just switch to part time when my kids approach HS graduation. :D

True, but if I'm in for the long-haul (20+ years), performance should all even out in the end, right?

On a taxable-equivalent basis, the short-term fund is somewhere between 1.64 and 1.72%. Not great, but better than most money markets.

You will be OK over the longer term, but you will need to overcome the initial lower performance should interest rates affect fund performance in the near term.

I did not get it free. However it was very heavily subsidized (just like AF).

Good Evening/Morning/Afternoon...what the heck day is it today?

Last night was long, very long thanks to a major rain storm. Last flight of the night arrived after 12:30am but we had many people filing delayed bag claims all night long. Due to the weather delays at SFO people were hopping on the first available flight out of IAH but their bags were still on their later flight. :(

Didn't get home until 2:30am and lights out was at 5am. Doggie barking at 10am means I'm cranky. Back to work at 4:30pm but I will take some kind of a nap between now and then, I hope.

Yikes! Did the kids go to HI w/their dad?!;)

Hello, Box. Hope it's been a lovely weekend filled with sun, eggs, chocolate, or whatever else tickles your fancy.

I am in the LH lounge at IAD enjoying (finally) some lunch and drink #1. Delightful. About 2 hours to kill between now and boarding (IAD-CLE-LGA and then the bus/subway/NJT shuffle home very late tonight). Survived the weekend: my whole family and tjtenor4's entire basic family unit, total of 11, all in the same place for the first time. To say that the two sides are wildly different in almost every way is the understatement of the year, but I think a decent enough time was had by all...

Now to try and catch up on some work and the past two days' worth of  in here. ;)

Fine - model is going on the lateral filing cabinet.

Let the record show I was forced to move my ukulele to the floor in order to make teh Box happy.

Let the record further show that you're a nerd for owning a ukulele. ;)

It's one thing I have in common with Warren Buffett and George Harrison (as in the end of "Free as a Bird").
